Warung Agus

Loved dining at this place. They have a set menu with plenty of options. We went for the mixed menu. The food was exquisite. Their starters, mains and sides where delicious and left us happy and full.

ORDERED: Warung Agus' mix set menu ($60.00pp)
Begedel: 4 pieces fried corn and mushroom fritters served with a tamarind, coconut sauce
Avocado in coconut: avocado with a mushroom and coconut cream sauce
Rice and yellow rice: cooked with tumeric, dash of coconut milk and garlic and onion
Sate Ayam (I think we had minced fish skewers that night though!)

Eggplant & Tofu
​ Babi Guling: Balinese roasted pork with crackling, served with a candlenut, lemongrass, chilli, ginger

REVIEW
Never have I ever had avocado with rice before. Having it sit in creamy light coconut milk made it one of the most interesting and refreshing dishes - which I imagine would be suitable for the humid Bali climate.

The fish skewers were also fun to eat, with how minced it was but also quite delicious. Wish I had more than a stick!
Also big shout out to the roast pork that I wish I had more room in my stomach for. It was tender and fatty, with the crackling perfectly snapping in your mouth.

Service is friendly and after this generous servicing, we were presented with MORE dishes. I could only wish to more of an introduction about the dishes just to gain a better appreciation of the food I was about to consume.

Warung Agus only do walk in and set menus, and they're vegan friendly! They're able to customise the set menus as well so it's definitely worth sussing if you want to try something different.

Im a student in Melbourne and im from Bali, ive been missing Bali foods so much and i heard this restaurant from my sister friend, the foods are so good probably the most delicious indonesian foods! ITSS WORTH THE PRICE, THE VIBES ARE IMMACULATE feels like homeee but make it fancy also the staffs are so friendly cant wait to get back there!

Unbelievably great food, warm service and THE BEST strawberry daiquiris that have ever existed. Unreal. Go.

Sooo gooood. We came in for a friend's birthday on the weekend. Set menu was loaded with super tasty options and they went above and Beyoncé to make sure everyone's diataries were taken care of.

If u r here for tasty food, do not come, what u got is over priced.
And nearly all the sides for every single fish r same.

Boo to Warung Agus. I never wish a business bad but I called the restaurant to make a booking only to be told it was walk in for tables under 5. I travelled 50kms to visit the restaurant only to be told they couldn’t take us because of a large booking. I’ve eaten there before and have fond memories, and was really looking forward to dining there again. But I’m sorry I’m not likely to try again and I wouldn’t recommend others do either!

Simply the best! If you love and crave Balinese food then Warung Agus is the place for you. Gorgeously presented and delicious food that I could easily eat every night. I can’t wait until next time!

Honestly such a wholesome food and dining experience. We’ve had the pleasure of eating in and getting food from here takeaway several times and it never disappoints- such bold flavours, soulful dishes and friendly and communicative service. A genuinely unique restaurant with an amazing family behind it!

Tonight was the first night having food from Warung Agus and it was so delicious! Looking forward to being able to dine in one day when we are able to again!

We tried the Ayam Betutu, Original Nasi Campur, Ubi Goreng, Gado Gado and of course, their signature dish Babi Guling. Amazing flavours, and cooked to perfection. The crispy crackling and tender meat of the Babi Guling makes it a definite must try. If you haven't tried Balinese food, then you must head here! Super friendly and down to earth service too so you'll definitely enjoy your experience here.

We love this place! Balinese authentic family but have lived in nth melb for many years serving up delicious food and community love. During the lockdowns they have innovated their butts off and the freezer meals are a god send. If you eat meat, must try the Babi guling, but plenty of vegan and GF options too. All served with love and so tasty!

Beautiful authentic Balinese cuisine. The service was top notch and the food was even better. I recommend the eggplant special and the satay chicken

Absolutely love the Balinese food! I havent had nice, authentic Indo food in a while so that was delightful. The homey vibe of the place is so nice. All of my friends love it too. The staff were absolutely lovely.
