Wantirna Mall Clinic reviews
79 I have been misdiagnosed by this clinic so many times. I really am wondering how are they running this practice?
1) Given high level of ant acids and never been told how to get off them. Withdrawls from ant acids occur to everyone, yet the doctor never told me how to get off them. I experienced 6 months of torture with my stomach.
2) I was told that I require anxiety medications when my thyroxin (hormonal replacement) was within the range (which yes it does happen) but actually "high" for me. The doctor almost prescribed anxiety medications but I declined. Went to another better doctor and had my hormones looked into and was advised to lower my dose. I got my life back!
3) I was advised to take antibiotics without the doctor even waiting for my lab results. You cannot prescribe antibiotics like candy. In the end, the lab results reported nothing. Thank god I didnt take those anti biotics.
Plus, I dont understand why they are in such a major hurry to diagnose and send you home. This would be the reason for the misdiagnosis.

Saw Dr Avi Charlton today and was quite disappointed with her dismissive and arrogant attitude. She made me feel judged, and as if I was wasting her time.i had a similar feeling last time i saw her but thought perhaps i was just being overly sensitive. Today she reinforced the fact that my initial feeling about her was right. Wont be seeing her again.
I saw Dr Sanjib “Roy” Chowdhury and he was amazing.
His genuine compassion and deep understand are a welcome change.
I have heard nothing but praise for Dr 'Roy' and I can see why, I am glad I came here.
And the staff were lovely, patient, and accommodating. I cant not fault any aspect of the clinic.
Terrible all round. The WMC Pharmacy is the icing on the cake.absolute shocker and dirty. The pharmacist today was more interested in talking on his mobile as opposed to serving. Do yourself a favour and go to the Community Pharmacy, you get treated like a human.or go to a different medical clinic.
I've been going here for years, it was always 'ok'. But adding the pharmacy has made it um.bad. Which questions the ethics behind this business.will they begin pumping out prescriptions just for the $$
I have been going to this clinic for 9 years Dr Sim Aung is good and Dr Benn Wallis the skin doctor is great too. However recently each time I booked on line there has been a hassle at the reception, requests for Medicare card name etc. With a printed out version of the appointment and history on the WMC system in front of the receptionist. I will now go elsewhere. A full overhaul of reception is required at WMC.
I drive over 40 minutes to see Dr Sidrak or Dr Aktar - incredible Doctors who actually care and go the extra mile. Thank you so much.
Reception ladies need a change. I was told I should come in to sign some paperwork as it had been so long since my last appt eventhough I had cold & flu symptoms. They told me to stay in my car. I arrived & called the clinic. I understand they were busy.but they refused to answer the phone about 4 times and just left it on answering service. How on earth are you to inform them you arrived for your appointment when you cannot enter or call? I waited a good 20 mins outside the clinic before I walked out with my mask and spoke to another patient entering the clinic & requested to please let them know that I arrived and to answer the phone. They finally answered.no apology nothing.just pretending they did not understand what I was saying when I explained that I had been waiting outside with nobody answering the phone. The doctor finally spoke to me over the phone and said I was not required to be there physically! And a telehealth appt would have been adequate as opposed to the reception staff!
I paid this mob $45 to get my health records transferred to my new doctors. Many months later, I go to refer to these documents and they aren’t there. Turns out they didn’t even send them. Not only have my documents not been passed on, I haven't been issued a refund. I've literally been stolen from
Went today. Doctor was very rude.we had to wait inside the car because my daughter had flu. After 40 minutes when I rang again, Receptionist had fogotten about us.
Rude, just simply rude, especially those at the reception. And appt always run behind, never on time. Just like what most people said, the Drs always rushing, if they are rushing how come we still have to wait for so long.
I have been going to this clinic for a number of years and have always found it very professionally run. Even though it is always very busy the receptionists are always quick and efficient. I have found that Dr Hany Daoud is thorough and very easy to talk to and understand, he instils confidence.
Cannot even begin to describe how appalling this experience was. No one cares about the work they do at this establishment. I found their behaviour towards me absolutely detestable. Nothing short of unprofessional.
I was waiting in the waiting room for blood test. The nurse came out and ask "who is next". As I knew I was the one, I went up to her. I didn't realise at that time, a lady in green went up to the nurse too and then she stood beside me. The nurse asked me what I would do. I showed her the green sheet that the doctor issued. Then, she said to me with a stern voice " You are. (I didn't hear clearly). And you should keep in the queue. " I said to this nurse" I came before her. " However, she didn't listen, and turned to the lady in green and wanted to asked her to come in. The lady in green explained that I was there when she came. After got confirmation from this lady, the nurse asked me to follow her. During and after the blood test, she never said sorry to me about this situation.
I think as a normal person, if I misunderstood a situation or a person, I definitely would say sorry to them. I just don't understand why she thought I was the person who jumped the queue at the first sight when she saw two persons standing in front of her and why it looks like she didn't believe what I said and trust a person who actually jumped the queue. I don't understand why she didn't apologise. This was really a bad experience. I'm not questioning about their professional knowledge, but their service level and service attitude.
We had a blood test done and had the second visit with doc. However, when we realised that we were not given the report and tried to retrieve it. We were told we need to pay for a consultation session even we only need the test figures. Don’t think it’s fair.
Absolute rubbish experience. The admin lady was so horrible over the phone. I called so many times and she Kept saying “no” and hanging up. Finally went in person to book an appointment, then when I saw one of the doctors I was treated so rudely AND was misdiagnosed. Not sure how these people are still in business.
I have been going here for over 8 years but finally go fed up with Dr Charltons arrogant attitude. Changed to Dr Amir Meshreky he is great, has taken immediate action on my overdue problems and now waiting surgery, some of which is years overdue. Changing my doctor was the best thing I have done. Most of the time, waiting is not a problem. I usually get there early for my appointments. Don't mind waiting when you get a doctor that listens to you problems and get them sorted out with out an attitude problem. I recommend Dr Amir highly.
Had a sore throat and made me stand in the Carpark as I don't drive for an hour and a half in the cold. Only to be diagnosed with tonsilitis. Rang 3times whilst waiting and found reception to be very rude
Disappointed with the service. Reception staff were disinterested but polite. However Dr Peter Hanna was simply awful. He arrived at the clinic late hence I went in late. He didn't introduce himself, nor did an examination, he was completely disinterested, non communicative and extremely unhelpful. Not everyone is there for just a certificate. Most people want good medical care.
Expect long wait times even when early for your booking.
Additionally they will not provide flu results over the phone even if too unwell to come in physically - I assume this is because they can't charge Medicare for over the phone consulting.
Don't waste your time, my pregnant partner waited an hour to be seen by Dr Charlton to be told our baby has down syndrome (@ 11 weeks pregnant) with absolutely no evidence to indicate such, and asked to make an immediate decision if she would like to proceed with an abortion if thats the case. Disgusting behaviour.
