Wantirna Mall Clinic reviews
79 Organised a phone call appointment. Which are always hours late.
This latest one was to check results that seemed urgent app at 1140am.
Didn't get a call until 338pm
He didn't even know what to tell me and had to check with the other doctor and call me back.
45 minutes later I had 2 missed calls but I was in the vet with mt dog and phone was on silent. Now I have to make another appointment to check results again because of that. These phone appointments seem to always be late. Very poor.
I went and saw Dr Avi Charlton about a couple of health issues, she was very rude and condescending. I had to tell her what I thought was wrong with me and the medication I believed I needed as otherwise I would have walked out of there with no solution to my problem. She made me feel very uncomfortable and when I tried to discuss my second medical issue with her she said it was out of the scheduled 10 minute appointment time and I would have to make an appointment with another doctor to discuss the issue. She made me feel like I was wasting her time. Do not go and see this Doctor, clearly she does not have the patients best interest in mind.
Waiting times are consistently 30-50mins
I don't know why they book you in for a time and never call for you on time.
Ari Charlton does not deserve the title of Dr.how dare she treat me like she did, dismissed my concerns and made a big deal about my diet and lifestyle choices. I was pretty confused where this consult was going until I got in the car, extremely upset and read the brochure she had given me as I left.
Her brochure on melbourne low carb clinic, which is her business and a way of making a bit of extra money. She came to this country as a Chinese student, sprukes her education at melbourne uni, big deal, the Chinese love melbourne uni and then was granted permanent residence. Im not sure what she thinks gives here the right to treat elderly in our community with disrespect when this wouldn’t be allowed in China. I know, as I hosted Chinese students. You treated me with disrespect you were condescending and its my opinion you thought you were better than me. I was disgusted. Have respect for your new country and your elders, the melbourne low carb clinic is just a rehash of the Atkins diet and very dangerous, for a doctor to promote this is very wrong. Steer clear of this clinic and Ari Charlton. I could go on but will never return to this clinic and neither should you, yes its bulk billing but you get what you pay for, nothing
Going here for 15 + years. Originally had much support with Dr. Longworth. But since he retired my consultations have been getting more and more rushed.
No eye contact, no talking, no concern and no time for a proper evaluation. They come across rude and dont seem to care, not even checked my bp in several months.
Several referrals were returned due to lack of information and on 1 occasion being written to a non practising doctor.
A hospital even contacted the clinic about a referral but they didn't bother to relay the message after I waited months.
No real follow up treatment advice, for any results of any scans.
I have been scolded when I've been late,
Yet even when I'm on time, I've been told there was "no time to hear your symptoms. "
I feel bad they are clearly trying to do too much.but
I left yesterday in tears for the second time.
I'm feeling sad that the care factor is zero. I'm desperate for help and can't even speak to my doctor about it.
As for the new booking system, it is also a sped up process that doesn't work online. I believe It's become about $ and churning the appointments out as fast as they can.
I recommend here if you need certification or have a cold, but unfortunately, if you need ongoing management, can't recommend it.
I had a telehealth appointment yesterday with Dr Sidrak. He is always a delight to consult with as are the rest of the medical staff. The reception staff are great too, they managed to secure me a same day appointment which was extremely helpful.
This place has gone really downhill the past few years.
Firstly, the new booking system does not show all GP bookings available except those in the near future. I try to see Dr. Sim Aung and have never been able to find him using the online booking system. Related to this, the phones barely get answered anymore and I have called during work times where I've let it dial for up to 5 minutes and still no answer. They must not have the phone ringing at times? So if you can't get your appointment because of the shoddy online booking system, they've also made it difficult to reach reception via phone.
Secondly, the overall administration has also decreased in quality. There's been at least 3 times (this is alot!) where the doctor I had an appointment with was changed and I only found out once I showed up to the clinic. Doctor-patient relationship can be very important and to literally make no attempt at Notifying the patient that they've switched the doctor you're seeing for your appointment is terrible practice. Some people may travel long distances and change their day plans so they can see a specific doctor for a health issue. Very irresponsible practice.
Thirdly, alot of the doctors here barely try to listen or understand what's going on with you now in an attempt to go through as many patients as possible in a day. I assume this is due to management instruction as it wasn't always like this.
Had previously been very happy with Dr Longworth and Dr Roy but now have moved to the country and there was a $45 charge for them to transfer my file to my new GP. The only medical organisation I had used to charge this. Very disappointing as everything is electronic.
I’ve been waiting for 2hrs for a Telehealth call that was supposed to be at 10am
I am not happy. This is poor customer service
From the moment I walked in, the front desk staffs have been very helpful and friendly. Not to mention Dr Sanjib is an extremely friendliest and caring Doctor. I have been to many medical clinic but no other clinic would have beaten the service at Wantirna Mall Clinic.
I have seen a couple of doctors here & have no complaints! My most recent visit just last week was very positive, DR was very Thorough with examination even though they were very busy.
I’m really struggling at the moment. Dr K Pannu helped me so much today, I felt understand and heard, and it made me feel like the light at the end of the tunnel actually exists. She is the definition of a fantastic and caring doctor. The world needs more like her. Big thumbs up Dr Pannu. Thank you so so much.
Doctors at this clinic would rather get you in and out in 5 minutes than actually want to listen, care and have some compassion for their patients.
Just seen a man hobble into Wantirna mall clearly in so much pain, explain he's not having a good day, got his days wrong and missed his appointment yesterday for pain relief. Beg if he can see anyone for a 1 min appointmentm said he tried calling but had to drive down bcoz noone was answering the phones. They turned him away and slapped him with a $25 charge for missing his app. He was almost crying and said, well I haven't missed an appointment in 10 years. And left hobbling away
I could have cried for him.
What's going on health care system omg
My son got misdiagnosed the dr couldn't diagnose pneumonia they also didn't answer the phone since past one day and was asking for cancellation fees which I refused to pay and also told them to change the hours on the website as hours are not updated. The receptionist was very rude and not helpful at all. Don't go to Wantirna Mall Clinic to waste your time and get mis diagnosed. Waiting times even after making the appointment is ridiculous.it's a zero star service. The practice should be closed down
The receptionists are really rude and always just tell you to hold the line and they never return.
Booked in an appointment on a public holiday and received a text saying that any Telehealth appointments on a public holiday so to me that means my appointment was cancelled then I got a missed called on the day was private number then I received a message saying I missed my appointment and have to be charged. I think not!
We have been seeing different dr in multiple occasions but one thing for sure we would not like to see dr. Charlton ever again. Straight away, she tried really hard to hook my partner up with her low carb program. She assumed that he must consume a lot of carbs because he is a big person. She detected that he must a gout issue and recommended him to cut all the carbs and eat more red meat. She really insisted on seeing her at her low carb clinic later on and she told me that I’m making up about his current diet. He is a big person does not mean he does not have a good diet or have an exercise routine. I felt like for the whole session she is really trying to convince him to sign in her low carb program. I understand that she is trying to seek for potential customer but she has been trying “too hard” for it. It’s not a good approach to sell your product. I admit that my partner BMI is not staying in healthy range but I believe her BMI is not either.
I booked an appointment yesterday morning but did not end up going as I felt the receptionists attitude was plain rubbish.
If that's who you decide to hire to greet people into your establishment I couldn't even imagine what practises you keep behind closed doors.
Good luck to you, you'll need it.
Attended 16/10, tried to book for my newborn son for his 6 week check, receptionist said our GP who they've been doing sharecare with aren't seeing new patients and can't see my kid, I explained this isn't a new patient this is someone they've seen before. Physically went in cause I'm fed up with trying to ring and not being able to get a hold of anyone, this clinic has gone downhill. Get better receptionist, rude attitude, not professional at all
Update: because reception won’t pick up their phones or has an automated message saying lines busy call back later, I have now missed a chance to book with my GP, I would give 0 stars at this point
