Vue Grand reviews
65Had the most amazing day at the Vue grand. Exceptional food and service in a great location near some lovely beaches. Thanks very much for everything.
Fantastic hotel located in the heart of Queenscliff. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Many different styles of room from basic to luxurious. Perfect place to stay for attractions in the area, like The Blues Train, Queenscliff fort, Sorrento ferry and more, most within walking distance. The hotel has a restaurant and bar with a great menu. Check out the rooftop bar for an amazing view over the town.
Beautiful looking hotel. Not really set up for calling in for a drink. Pokey little bar, and pokey little space to sit
Had a wonderful hens day Hi Tea at The Vue Grand, staff were amazing and a special thank you to Kate who kept checking in to make sure our day was a huge success.
The team here are the best! Our experience is purely based on Kate. Her efforts of returning my husband's wallet which had gone missing at a different venue in Queenscliff a few nights earlier were phenomenal and very much appreciated. If what she did for us is anything to go by then this hotel is in great hands. We will be back to visit.
Can only speak about the restaurant
Great place with good food, well presented. Fantastic staff.
Stunning. Taking a trip back in time. Friendly staff, rooms are beautiful. Will stay here again one day. Highly recommend.
I've grand hotel has excellent services and great location in the central queenscliff area
Wow What a magical and beautiful place to stay. Right in the heart of Queenscliff. The Turret Room was outstanding with views to die for. The Rooftop bar was fantastic. The food was exceptional. The Brie and so I was told the Mussels were like heaven in the restaurant. Highly recommend staying there. Only suggestion is if you don’t like climbing stairs then this is not the place.
Congratulations on your lovely waitress Kayla. Myself & my daughters visited today for a cold drink and lunch.
Kayla was a sweetheart, she even went above and beyond to help me by looking after one of my girls while I took the other to the bathroom.
Thank you Kayla! I hope the other not so friendly staff follow your lead!
Queenscliff is a bit of a sleepy town. Everything stops by 8.30pm. The Vue Grand was a very nice place to stay & eat. We had a room with a spa bath, and a separate shower. It was really nice. Pleasant and efficient service. Bistro is good quality.
Great old hotel. We've stayed here several times. It has a great atmosphere and beautiful decor. The rooftop bar is a must if it's open.
Very well maintained for a very old building the staff were awesome and the rooms were very nice
The Grand Old Lady of Queenscliff still stands. Dropped in for a quick drink late in the afternoon on the wknd. They were about to open the rooftop bar but we preferred the quiet shady oasis out the back, past Reception. Soaked up the ambience, enjoyed mellowing out. Staff friendly too.
We stayed there 3 weeks ago. It was booked as a surprise getaway for my partners birthday. Upon arrival we found what looked like a construction site due to roof restorations. It would have been a common courtesy to inform guests before hand. The hotel was very dark and gloomy. It had a very musky smell about it with very creek floors. The whole place needs a major overhaul. Our room looked like it was furnished by the Salvos, no disrepect to them. The main dinning room was closed was closed, the rooftop bar was not operational and one of the 2 courtyards was out of action. The other courtyard needed a good clean. If you intend to charge normal room rates, the amenities need to be up to scratch. Extremely disappointed and embarrassed that I took my partner there. We will never return or recommend the Hotel.
Old bloke with tatts who still thinks he is in his 20s was very rude, when asked about anything to do with a change of room. Since it had a funny smell, maybe because it’s an old building. Idk, either way we won’t be returning. Also their food is over priced, for the size you get. Normal pubs offer a full Parmi, but this one only offers half and makes you pay $26 for it.ridiculous. I don’t recommend
Not worth the money, highly overpriced.
The rooms are NOT as advertised, they look great on the website, however they are not what you actually get, rooms are much more run down and worn out then shown on the website.
I stayed in a "King Spa" room and the Spa bath didn't even work.
Very tasty meals but its unfortunate that a Zero Bill Splitting policy is rather rudly enforced in this day and age of a near cashless society. And being a party of TWO makes it all the more totally ridiculous. Had I been this rude on entry I'm sure I would have been escorted out rather unceremoniously.
The rooms are older style but kept in excellent condition. At present the staff shortages are making it hard to provide full service, but the team try exceptionally hard to meet needs. Awesome location in the middle of Queenscliff.
Beautiful old lady complete with creaks. Very comfortable bed. Room was adequate. No breeky but evening meals which are very good. The staff work very hard and polite and helpful.
