Volaris Music Centre is a great small business, open between Christmas and new year and had in stock the pick up I needed at the last minute for a New Year’s Eve gig. They were super helpful with my enquiries both over the phone and in person, explaining to me what I didn’t know and talking me through the different pedals for effects, tuning and sound quality that I will definitely explore in the future. They followed up with me to check in how the pick up worked which was excellent.

Click and collect service was brilliant- super fast and efficient, and excellent communication. Thanks for making the whole process smooth and easy!

My drum stick bag, containing all of the sticks I own, was stolen from my car (including the first sticks I ever owned). It was a devastating loss, but the amazing people at Volaris are my heroes!
They stocked me up with new sticks, a new stick bag at a discount AND a free drum key. Their kindness (and adorable dog) really softened the blow of losing so much, and outbalance the selfish behaviour of one thief.

Their gift certificate process/ service provider is quite literally terrible to the point where I won't be using it again. Over the phone service and in shop service is excellent.

Went in to pick up a bow and enquire about re-stringing my instrument. As the shop was quiet they offered to do it on the spot. Both employees were friendly and professional. They even gave me tips on how to take care of my instrument and use it, which as a beginner I really appreciate. They also gave me some information about lessons. Great customer service, I will definitely go back.

Went to Volaris to buy the Roland FP-30X, the manager matched the online price and delivered it to my house that same day for $15 (On Christmas Eve). Grateful to have a reliable music store in my area

Visited that shop awhile ago, I was looking for an Oud and it looks this was the only shop in Melbourne that sells that instrument. The shop owner was not that welcoming and a bit rude, why i don't know or maybe he was having a bad day.

When it comes to their ouds, i am being very honest here, it's not worth a dollar (at least for someone interested in playing the instrument). I am an oud player myself and I'm from the Middle East, so I know the instrument very well and their worth too. The ouds they have are only for decoration. The issue for me is that he is selling those ouds for over 1000$. For 1000$ and even less, you can get a very decent oud which is made by very known oud maker not a one for decoration that's made from cheap quality materials and unknown maker and actually you cannot play with.

I would assume the shop owner is very ignorant when it comes to ouds and was scammed by the guy who sold him these instruments. The other possiblity would be that the owner is a scamming his customers.

I would have loved to give the owner some tips or some oud makers contacts but his attitude was very repelling.

The moral of the story, DO NOT BUY OUDS FROM THIS PLACE.

This is one of the worst music shops ever. Would not recommend buying from here. I was looking for a viola for school, which an employee came to me to help with. They ended up tricking us to thinking this so called ‘viola’ wasn’t even a viola nor a violin. The strings on this ‘thing’ weren’t even stringed on properly either. Therefore I 100% wouldn’t buy from this shop.

I sent a message enquiry about a repair on a string instrument, got a quick response that they could help, so I dropped it in, they helped to repair my instrument even though it has serious flaws but made it usable for me with some modifications and charged a very reasonable fee. Great place to visit and ask for advice.

Good price and quick delivery but didn't receive the correct item, it was only the colour of the item that's incorrect however I received a phone call about the incorrect shipment and the mistake has now being rectified, that's above average customer service especially for a relatively inexpensive item, p.s. Please don't chew out whoever picked the order we're all human

I really enjoy buying equipment here, I've also had good experiences with learning music here. Although equipment, lessons and instruments are all expensive, they are worth your money.

Over the past 15 years, we've bought guitars, clarinets, stands, music books, drum sticks, all kids of percussion and xylophones for the little ones and other bits and pieces. My older kids did music lessons here and they were fantastic. Fantastic advice over the phone. Easy on line ordering. Exceptional customer service. Can not fault the tram at Volaris.

Volaris actually has the instruments in stock here in Australia which for me is a huge plus. Ordered Tuesday, arrived Friday in perfect condition, thoughtfully packaged.
