Very good service initially, but then became very aggressive and abusive towards me after I purchased a $ 5,645.00 amplifier from Ilias.
Ilias informed me that he has been having issues with management of the stores (vinyl revival, and stereophonic) re covid, which I was happy to listen to, and also went on to say that he had been lied to by a supplier re the delivery of my amplifier, which took 12 weeks more than expected after I had already paid for it, he did reluctantly lend me a poor quality substitute. Ilias then went and arranged a pickup date and time without my approval/availabilityof a suitable time. Ilias then contacted me by email and phone after I requested that he call me personally. The abusive tone that he used with me, and the implication that I told lies was beyond belief. Seriously if he isn't happy there, he needs to leave and not take his frustrations with management out on the customers.
I am very sorry to post this type of review, and it is something that I normally wouldn't do

I recently purchased a new amp and some bookshelf speakers off Peter and he was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish.

The service was friendly and informative. This was my first time shopping at Vinyl Revival and I’ll definitely be coming back.

An extremely odd experience. I had a very simple wish, and that was to upgrade my old Planar 3 with a new P6, and also to buy a replacement stylus for my 2M Black. I spoke to Illias, who was always friendly and courteous, he informed me that they had a P6 boxed up in the back, but it came with an Exact cartridge. I was told it was absolutely no problem removing the cart and selling the P6 without (an option available on the website) - for this I was thankful and prepared to wait a few days for a specialist to come in and remove the two screws with an Alan key - Unfortunately a week and a half later this mountain had yet to be climbed; the guy with the Alan key still hadn't allocated the 5 minutes unscrewing time into his schedule so I couldn't make my $2000 purchase and place an order for the stylus (an additional $645). I dropped in and was informed it would be dealt with and I'd get a call the following day - fair enough, I live near. Again, no call. Nothing.

This has to be one of my most bizarre retail experiences ever. A salesman who seems friendly but reluctant to make an easy sale - two tiny screws standing between selling a $2000 deck and everyone (customer and shop) being happy. I can only conclude that Illias didn't really want to sell the deck without the cart, even though he said it was no problem. Usually in audio stores salespeople can be too pushy, in this case I'd say I was the one trying hardest to close the sale. I still can't get my head around that.

I bought a turntable from there a while back. They were very helpful in helping me chose and how to set up my turntable. About 6 months later I damaged the needle (my fault really). I took the turntable back expecting to pay as I damaged the needle but the owner gave it to me free as he said it was under warranty. But a couple of years later it was not working properly. I took it there and it had something to do with the cord. They had one laying around and they just gave it to me (new it was around $30 I think). It's not the free stuff that really mattered, it's mainly the attitude of wanting to help you first to enjoy your pruhse.

I recently placed an online order with VR. I was probably a bit of a nightmare customer with how I was following up with them, but the guys at the store were always really nice, super transparent about the process their store was going through at the moment.

When the time came to set up my system at home and I ran into a few hiccups, the guys were so helpful over the phone, offering their advice and what to do to fix my issues. These guys are the real deal, and always trying their best for old and new fans alike. Not once was I made to feel like an idiot in all my dealings with them! X

Bought my new turntable and speakers from these guys. The service was A1 as was their knowledge and friendliness. Highly recommend. Even the pick-up was easy during lockdown. Highly recommended

Big thanks to Victor for my recent speaker purchase! Love the new speakers! And loved the service you provided. Friendly, patient, great advice with no "pushy" sales tactics.

I spent several hours across multiple days narrowing down my selection in speaker choices. Not once did Victor hassle me, hurry me or try to push me into a certain direction. In fact, Victor was quite happy to leave me alone to listen to my own music during the demo sessions.

Been to other hi-fi stores while researching my new speakers but never got the same level of service as I did with Victor.

Great selection of gear to suit your taste, needs and budget.

Definitely be dropping in again to see Victor and the guys at Vinyl Revival when considering my next hi-fi purchase!

Give them a miss.
I was able to listen to the speakers that I was interested in.and was able to listen to a turntable that they recommended.but was not able to listen to them together (too hard). Then things got weird, when I was politely told that “. If you want to overthink it, then you should find a different store that provides that type of experience. ” Umm.ok? !

We brought a sweet ProJect turntable with preamp and Sonos speaker. Listening to albums now is a whole new experience, there is instruments I couldn't even hear before! The gentleman that helped us put this package together was really informative and didn't push the hard sale. We have never spent that much money on something before, but he made us comfortable with the exchange. We love the new system - thanks!

The store design makes me feel like I am walking into the lounge room of a cool uncle (who is a muso and lives in Berlin, perhaps). You'll learn a lot here when you engage the staff for help. Totally relaxed atmosphere for browsing and top-notch products and service.

Fantastic experience! Knowledgeable staff that understand the value of good customer service. Walked me through a variety of options at my price point, but were never pushing for a sale. I am extremely satisfied with my new turntable and speakers thanks to the Vinyl Revival team!

I purchased a Project Phono Box E Phono via their online store and when I received it I noticed there was a buzz which I determined to be a grounding issue. I tested my equipment with other preamps and didn't have any issue.

I returned the product for replacement and spoke with someone whom confirmed they received and tested it and could also hear the buzz. It was sent back to the manufacturer and after several weeks I was advised no fault was found and the item was returned to me.

I tested it again and it still buzzed. After doing some research I opened up the box and found that the grounding screw was not connected to anything inside the box as it should be, via a wire. I advised Steve at the store whom refused to acknowledge this as an issue, claiming he tested the unit himself and it was fine.

I then attached a wire to the inside of the box from the the grounding screw to the main component and now there is no buzz.

Steve and Vinal Revival refuse to acknowledge there was an issue with the product, despite there clearly being a missing component. I'm very disappointed with their service and would encourage other potential customers to shop elsewhere.
