Village Cinemas Rivoli reviews
69Booking office not open only candy bar open. A very long line, then trying to upselling for food. While being served, the staff member was intruded by another employee and answered the question. So rude
This place is great! The staff are lovely and bery attentive, you push the magic button in gold class and they are there in like 20 seconds flat!
The food and drink options are awesome and generous portions for what you pay.
Well worth the splurge if you want a nice date night. Try the gold class experience, don't eat before you go!
Beautiful old cinema that has been restored. Great to see a place like this preserved. A must do at least once.
Comfortable and well spaced seating coupled with great screen clarity makes for optimal viewing experience.
My experience was the same as a user who left a review before me.
Received a gold class voucher from a friend. Tried to use this online. Unfortunately this did not work. I call the 1300 number and they advised that we send an email. However, we send the email. The website advised that something has gone wrong. So no email, no phone, no service at all.
They've nicely positioned themselves to have zero contact with their customer What a disgrace. I'm now booking in to see the movie at Hoyts and won't be back.
Always great experience the staff are fantastic and the seats are comfy in the cool old-school cinema
Check your tickets, my elderly mother in law was charged $48.5 rather than $35 when taking my children to the cinemas despite showing her concession card.
Not good form to overcharge pensioners.
Great place to see a movie, not overly noisy like most other cinemas. Classic decor and friendly staff too
Whilst it is bad enough that the place is understaffed, the staff in attendance is not very attentive.
Always nice and quiet when I see a movie here. The atmosphere is traditional with a lot of quality throwback touches. Makes for a special movie night experience. The rooftop bar is on the expensive side but enjoys a view you rarely find around camberwell junction.
Really nice vibes and a super interesting experience. Great value for money being able to see two Studio Ghibli films here for the price of one standard film entry: D was a great concept they did.
How do I know in which cinema of the multiplex the movie I'm interested is being run? Oh. I can't. Good idea of an old cinema theatre with an absolutely inconsiderate execution.
Probably one of the nicest Village Cinemas around, staff were pleasant toilets clean (not normal at most Village sites) and it's a shame it's not near us as would go more often.
Lovely cinema, roof top bar, spacious comfortable seats, polite and helpful staff. A good night was had
Amazing art deco interior. The screen itself is good, seats comfy and the views from the top floors are also not too bad. The staff was friendly too. There is a fenced off area for gold glass, I think it's some kind of bar, but I guess they have to get something for paying double!
Such a great cinema. History, great decor and the ability to take in a glass of wine just helps to give it that little bit of sophistication.
I saw 2001 A Space Odyssey there in 1968 and again in 2018. Did not get threatened by an old lady with an umbrella this time.
Very pleased to see they use paper straws. Much better than plastic straws ending up in the ocean. I am encouraged when big organisations, who could ignore social issues, choose to take positive actions.
Amazing customer service and well maintained facilities. Love the fact that not much has been changed from the original building, yet the place feels clean and well kempt. Will definitely be returning as this was one of the best movie theatre experiences I've had!
