Village Cinemas Fountain Gate reviews
56 Love it gold class is the best. My sister has never been to gold class and enjoyed it alot especially the delivery of our food.
Thanks guys
We enjoyed our movie. It has been well over 12 months since we have been to the cinemas, thanks to covid!
We usually go Gold Class but we took the niece and nephew with us today and we went into a normal cinema. There was popcorn in our drink holder and could of done with a better clean. I think the seat covers need a bit of an upgrade too.
The movie was good!
Friendly staff and service, however the manager (Cameron) was extremely incompetent, and clearly had no idea what he was doing when it came to dealing with the issues we had with our Gold Class vouchers. Especially when you contact Village Cinemas, and are unable to speak to anyone, and the automated voice advises to go into the store to for any issues. We’re just going around in circles trying to resolve our issue! Absolute joke!
Living in the country, it is always a pleasure to treat ourselves to a a Gold Class movie experience when we shop at Fountain Gate. The staff and service are always excellent: lovely food, drinks and a wonderful range of movies. There is no better way to watch a new release and have a pamper.
Not too bad, although I bought my tickets online and was in the priority queue, I still had to wait as everyone else was getting served before us. The reason I buy online is so it’s quicker, not the case on this occasion.
Village Junior is awesome for taking kids to the movies when you don't know if they will make it all the way through.
We were always worried that if we take the kids to a movie, even a kids movie and they get bored, want to chat or jump around it would ruin the movie for others. V-Junior is perfect for this as even though there is the chatter or kids and a few jumping around, the movie is still watchable and you don't have to stress about getting in people's way while taking the kids to the bathroom.
Second time taking the kids to a movie in V-Junior and will definitely be back.
Due to the school holidays period brought the kids here for a movie. Haven't been here for close to 12 months now. Good customer service and not a bad selection of drinks and snacks even though at the pricey side. Cinema itself is starting to display signs of wear and tear. Carpets are showing its age and seat covers are needing a good clean too. Floors and cup holders are not very clean. All in all was a good day and kids enjoyed the movie and experience. Would come back again for sure.
It was fantastic and the popcorn and drink was really good and tasty but I wish it was kept hot whole I was using the vrewards for it and then the movie choas walking was really good
Village junior need to cancel the intermission.my daughter was thinking the movie has finish.good if your there early slide and games outside before the movies.
Not enough sound. Couldn't hear some words properly. Visuals were perfect. Maybe it was in the movie.
I treated my family to a movie at VJ.
The only problem I experienced was the employee letting all the older kids push in line to go down the slide and finally my son got to the front after he waited the entire time she closed the slide in his face. Not impressed.
Very well renovated and appointed the seating is vastly improved from the old red cloth days well worth going to see a movie there
Lose one star as the Drink my girlfriend ordered had 1 ingredient missing (slice of Lime) that she paid good money for & the staff when leaving Fountain Gate Gold Class are not as friendly as karringal or Crown (they are Silver class) only when leaving (Gold Class at Fountain gate) only on arrival
I enjoy gold class very much and always look forward to going, the problem is there are very rarely movies on that I enjoy, mainly rom coms, 2 came out recently that I was very much looking forward to seeing, one of them was not shown in gold class at all and the other one had very limited viewing, as a result I didn’t see either of them, not all of us are interested in big action packed block busters.
One of the few theatres that have actually kept up with COVID measures and are thriving to excel in customer service.
Booked our tickets online and still not sure why you have to pay a booking fee of $1.40 EACH when you do it yourself Don't like going to candy bar as I don't buy the food and it takes forever
Buy tickets online using Telstra rewards and make sure you collect your points on your Village card. Makes the whole thing more affordable.
I'm not a fan of the queue system (same queue for tickets and candy bar) as it means longer wait times. Food is expensive, but that is a given at the cinemas. The cinemas themselves are nice, however nothing to rival Hoyts (who now have all leather recliners in all theatres).
Good service! Helpful staff. I had 2 movie tickets which wouldn’t work while booking online. I did an online query and it turned out that the ppl responding to me said that the system showed that the tickets were expired.in actual fact the tickets were NOT expired. I didn’t want to lose these tickets, I then went to Village cinemas FG and was very happy that the staff there went to the manager and acknowledged the system issue. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.
Vjunior was not as good as Southland. Service was non existent and play area clearly a token rather than an experience. The cinema was however clean and the seats and atmosphere are perfect for children. New food menu is economical if sharing so feed up before coming and enjoy a shared snack to munch on.
