Victoria Park reviews
44Gone are the smelly toilets, the crush of the madding crowd. What a pleasant little spot now. Almost trendy.
Sat in the grandstand. Great view of the whole ground, good shade, and the venue was really well run from a covid safe view
Took me back to when Fitzroy and Collingwood shared this oval making the banner in church across the rd.
A fantastic piece of Abbotsford history, recreated into a public recreation site. Features a great fenced field where you can allow dogs off-leash (please make use of the dog waste bags available at various locations around the park), also features public BBQ facilities, drink fountains and picnic tables.
Had a great afternoon here recently at an AFLW match. Reminded me of my youth and country football matches. Victoria Park is an excellent community facility.
Spiritual home of the mighty Pie's.
Spent all my youth in the Rush stand.
Watched the great Peter McKenna kick three tons in a row.
The God Peter Daicos do what no one else can do.
To many players that mean so much to me.
Go Pie's
I was there for the children's library!
Otherwise I would have stayed clear as I don't want to turn into a Collingwood feral
We come here after visiting the Collingwood Toy Library. Great way to burn off the kids' energy.
Going to Victoria Park to watch Collingwood play when I was young was the highlight of my life I still love going there remembering the good times the 1990 season was the highlight
Beautiful park for both humans and their four-legged friends. When the footy isn’t on you can bring your furry friend to this off-leash enclosed oval or just jog around. Even if you don’t have a dog it’s a lovely walk around the park or have a picnic at the bbqs.
Amazing heritage, beautiful park and awesome events are frequently held here. The old football ground for Collingwood FC, they have now built a community centre there with excellent facilities and retain the ground for the VFL club.
My spirital sporting home very many remerable and rewarding moments spent here bruoght back so many memerios Got to fuiifill a long term ambiton to see where so many Collingwood Football Players got ready for training and prepairing for match days. I was like a kid in a lolley shop
Took heaps of photos.had shivers running up my spine just thinking i was in the same place as so many sporting ledgends
I absolutely love this place a great way to watch my team play part from the MCG I really loved and enjoyed watching the VFL and the AFLW there as well
Possibly the greatest piece of land in Australia. Outstanding public space now with wide openings and great historical information signs located at different parts of the ground. Also full access to renovated stands is a plus. The only downside is the old club social club is now private and public organisation that don't keep it clean which you can see through the massive windows. No respect for historical relevance of this building.
Historic treasure. Beautiful Parklands with kids playground no fenced off dog area which is a shame that dog owners have to keep their dogs on leashes not a lot of parking as the area is surrounded by urbanisation it's a piece of history that is worth a visit though it is not a big area and at least you can go to the nearby streets and sustain your interest in the diverse range of shops and restaurants
Plenty of parking spaces. I feel like it would be better if we can pay when we leave the care park. Too rush in the morning.
Small grounds feel so much better with kids. Could have used more food trucks and the queues for drinks were extreme. Thankfully the kids preferred porta-potties.
Massive memories from over 40 years ago - agony or ecstasy depending on the result each SATURDAY - No night or Sunday matches. McKenna, Richardson, Price, Potter, Moore - far too many great players to list.
And today, travelled 3+ hours to see AFLW team get walloped.
There's always next week!
Open space ideal for exercising pets having a kick of the footy or running laps interaction between users good
I was interested in doing a tour of Victoria Park and parts of the Collingwood suburb as I am a mad Collingwood supporter
