Popped in for lunch today. Didn't have a table booked but the girl at the front (apologies for not knowing your name) promptly helped us out with the high table at the front. From her hospitality to the service from Brett and Oliver this place was fantastic. Roaring fireplace to keep us warm definitely helped.
Food was magnificent. One of the best chicken schnitzels I've ever had from a Pub.
Large, thick, juicy, crispy and cooked to perfection.

First visit. Didn't have any food (but will come back in the future and enjoy lunch by one of the two log fires). Enjoyed a GT in the front bar with comfy lounges.

We drive from Bendigo to go this fantastic pub. The service is amazing and friendly. The food is delicious and varied. Venue cozy and welcoming.if you go in winter, the woodfires are very relaxing and cosy. Well worth a visit.

We each got parmas, one regular, one GF. This was in February 2023 so during the "great chip shortage" the server was super attentive and alert to gluten free needs and actively checked (I didn't need to ask) that the alternative potato side was still gluten free and cooked separately to avoid cross contamination. This is a really big deal if you're coeliac so it was great service.

Parma was delicious, thick tender chicken and a crispy coating. I also liked that the tomato sauce wasn't chunky or oniony.

WORSE service topped with WORSE food I have ever had anywhere in the word!
We met up with friends here and upon sitting on a table, we had 4 different wait stuff abusing us to order drinks in less than 10 minutes. We were catching up after a long time and we felt like we were rushed to order drinks and food as soon as we sat down without giving any chance to even look at the menu. Eventually we said we would let them know when we were ready but the last wait member warned /? Threatened us to order it now otherwise kitchen would get busy and there would be a wait for our meals. What a joke.
Like beginning of our experience was so nice food has finally arrived! Another joke:) Salad with 80% onion ratio compare to other ingredients in it. Tasteless and expensive. My wine came in a glass full of oily finger prints all over it. I was disgusted.
We all left without finishing our food to never return to this place ever again.
Wouldn't recommend it.

My husband was diagnosed ceoliac afew yrs ago. Hands down to Vic Hotel in Woodend who do gluten free parmas. My husband enjoyed his. We've eaten there a few times and it's our go place. Thank you for catering for people who have ceoliac and making it a place to eat and enjoy with friends.

Claims to have 80 craft beers but only about 10 in the fridge when we visited, but forget that, fantastic bar with great service, very stylish interior and great atmosphere

The decision to hold my 50th B'day function upstairs in the Mountain View room on the balcony was easy after speaking to the fabulous Emily Blades and her team. From my first contact to our last drinks the staff, the venue, the personalised service & delicious food can not be faulted. I had such a memorable afternoon all my guests have been texting me to say how perfect the day was. Thank you so so much to all the amazing staff for the memories made on the day. I highly recommend this venue for it's flexibility & professional seamless service.

Great Christmas Dinner. Several notches above what you would normally expect from a hotel Christmas. Staff were cheerful efficient and accommodating

Food and Service was good. Some opened the bloody toilet door behind us and whole room was full of the smell of urine for a few minutes. What the heck. It felt like we are having our drinks in a public toilet God sake….
Moral of the story is don’t sit close to the toilet door I include a photo of the area.

Obviously busy when we were there for Sunday lunch but they made sure our orders were taken quickly and then they arrived in good time.

Promptly welcomed as soon as we walked in, they were about booked out but let my wife and I have a table. We enjoyed some great pizzas and overall lovely experience

We originally had a table for 14 people but due to bad weather had many cancellations and ended up with 6. They were so understanding and accommodating it made the whole process a breeze. Food and service was amazing, great range of beers and wines. Thanks again Victoria Hotel for making our visit so enjoyable.

Really nice and warm place on them cold winter days. Delicious food and friendly welcoming staff. There is a good selection of beers. I would not hesitate to stop in again.

Very nice Pub don't be put off by exterior its great inside! Excellent menu good quality and great service. Fed a group of 15 in about same time as other tables of 2/3. Recommended!

We walked in the door spontaneously, and to our relief the wonderful staff welcomed us in even with their bookings full AND sat us by the fire. We ordered the vegan parmas, and they were delicious. The kids were occupied with the paper and pencils, and it was just a fantastic time out. Again; the staff were amazing!

A great little bottle-o with a brilliant range of craft beer and spirits. Including lots of local booze from around the ranges.

Enjoyed the lunch today at the Victoria. The place has a nice atmosphere. The food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering and was enjoyed by all. The on line booking system works well and the the table was set up on our arrival. I would recommend this place and would go again. But be aware on a public holiday there can be a 15% surcharge on food and drinks.
