What’s not to love! I’m always excited to eat here. The owners a super friendly and have accommodated us even when we’ve ordered late.

Good vegetarian food (including mock version of meat dishes). A negative was the service was slow and erratic. Constantly having to get up to get the staff's attention.

Was blown away by the food and the service. We ordered the lemon chicken and the beef and black bean. I’m not a vegetarian or vegan, but with both the dishes, I wouldn’t have been able to tell I wasn’t eating meat. The service was quick and they were very kind and welcoming.

Vegetarian restaurant with some really good feature dishes, but other dishes really lacking in contrast.

The dish that makes Vegie Bowl locally famous is their Satay Skewers, and really, they are amazing.

However when it comes to their Mock Meat dishes, it’s a hit or miss; which seems to be made with tempeh/tofu/soy base they colour, flavour, shape and change method of cooking of depending on the meat they’re trying to mock.

Foods such as the Duck, was confusing in flavour, and left me feeling nauseous and ill the next day, as for the Honey Chicken, I was pleased that the traditional flavour was there, I could better focus on the sweet outer, rather the tofu type filling.

However, a star of my families dinner night was the Fried Beef with Vegetables.

Food was very good, could not tell this place was vegatarian as the faux meat was very well done. Definitely a great place to bring a group to share plates.

Nice place to eat in or for takeaway. The food never fails to impress and if you have missed your daily intake of veggies and protein, you can eat it here without a guilt as it's all vegetarian. Ambience could definitely have been better as when the restaurant is little busy you are sitting very close to other people and would suggest a little hygiene practice to the waitresses e.g rolling their sleeves over and tucking their hair back in especially while serving food. All in all food is definitely delicious.

Worse experience ever that I had with a restaurant. We came in yesterday Valentine’s Day. At first they asked us to order quick because it’s late and tried to push us to eat fast, they wondered around and looked at us few times, gave the bill when we were eating. This is so rude. We felt like we are aliens or something. We understand the restaurant closes at 9: 30 and we still have 15 min left, worse part when I was still eating, the staff came and cleaned our table, standing there and I had to rush my dish and gave the bowl to her. This ruined our day. Never come back again.

Good prices, quick and kind service, delicious food.

It's one of our favourite places as food is really good. Staff would be quote stiff sometomes but this time there were friendly faces.on the floor. Overall a pleasant experience

Been here a couple of times, the food has all been amazing, especially the Pork & eggplant. Vegan mock meats are excellent!

All veggie food - soy or gluten based fat used as substitute. Good portion sizes that encourages sharing between the group in a traditional way.

Menu is a mix of Chinese and Malaysian.

I think I like more proper vegetarian dishes compared to mock meat based dishes. It's a matter or personal choice.

If you miss meat and would like to have a gratification with something close - this is the place.

Service was fantastic, good space and set up.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly waitresses, nice food. After a while a girl came to check on us, we we shared, that were not happy with one dish we ordered, they offered to swap it straight away. Very nice.

I would have given no star for the dinner takeaway which we have just had (26 June 2021). The dishes were oily and tasted bland. I have been to the restaurant a few times before just because it was near my house but I was never fully satisfied with my meal. Today's takeaway was so bad that prompted me to write this review. I don't think I will ever visit the restaurant again.

Consistently good food and service. The manager women could be warmer and friendlier like other staff.

I've never had vegetarian food like this before. All types of "meat" and "seafood" dishes made from tofu and soy that tastes like the real thing.

The taste of the food varies from time to time. Very inconsistent.
The food is nice last week so we ordered again tonight.
I am totally disappointed with the take away food tonight (26/06/21).
1. The Four Heaven King is super SWEET and oily. (The dish is not meant to be sweet)
2. The Stir Fry Goji Berries with Spinach has burnt smell.
3. Mince Meat Olive Roasted Tofu is so different from last week. Tonight is very oily and tasteless with too little sauce.

I will go to the Forest Hill branch from now on.

Food tastes great and there's a decent variety of dishes to pick from. Definitely one of my new go to restaurants. Would recommend to everyone, Vegetarian or not

We absolutely love this place. It's the best vegan food in the south east suburbs. Every meal we get in the restaurant or takeaway is always delicious and of fair size. I also like that there is no onion or garlic in the food. Some notable favourite meals of ours are the lemon chicken, curry chicken, sweet and sour pork. The pricing is fair, especially compared to similar places found closer to the city. Staff have always been polite and we have had no problems here. Would love to see another Vegie Bowl down near Berwick, please considering opening another restaurant ;)
