Vandana's Indian Restaurant reviews
49 Really good indian food I've been tasted so far. Really most of the curries or every item is made really well. Not every restaurant can satisfy all the people in world. Food's good if we don't like it we need to keep ourselves. Don't give bloody bad reviews. We can't generalize something based on our opinion that is foolishness.
I would say must visit if you want to try some good authentic handmade indian food.
The only one that keeps the traditional flavours. Tried few others in the neighbourhood when this one was closed and it’s not the same so staying loyal to this one. The lamb shish kebabs are just great. The butter chicken and chicken Biryani are our favourites. Maybe wish for the Naan to be a bit softer but probably that’s a personal preference.
The meals and naan were average (not terrible, but certainly far from “fantastic”), the entree’s were microwaved and soggy and I’m almost certain the mango lassi was off. Either that or I’ve just never had a sour mango lassi before… I won’t be going back.
We waited over an hour with rolling updates our delivery had been further delayed. The driver left the food outside when he arrived and didn't ring the doorbell, the only reason we noticed is because we had the app open. Chicken tikka I did not have much flavour, nor did the riata, half the papadums were burnt. Rice was good. We won't be going back
Absolutely bloody fantastic, awesome authentic flavours, $90 takeaway fed 4 of us comfortably, cheers
I had a nice meal with my friend. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious. We ordered 2 mains an entree and some rice and naan and were absolutely satisfied.
Ordered prawn and lamb, both of the dishes are watery, lack of taste, the food taste like from few days ago, especially of $7 dollars rice was terrible I’ve ever had, and we requested #VERY HOT#, but the lamb dish wasn’t hot at all, I don’t understand how they got the high rating
Best indian food ive ever had. Lovely staff, so humble and kind. Will always support these guys
I got one butter chicken, it's not fresh and also the customer service is really bad.so, I never recommend this place.
Really bad service for the customers.
Do not care about the customers.
Food quality and the taste is zero.
This place is a hidden gem. The staff are friendly and provide great service and the food is absolutely superb! Not only are the dishes extremely delicious but the portion sizes are perfect too. It is one of Melbourne's best Indian restaurants (I think the best for me) and the prices are reasonable as well. I also highly recommend the mango lassi drink!
This has become one of my favourite Indian restaurants. The staff are very friendly and the quality of the food is amazing! I love this place!
Had takeaway from this place tonight we ordered two chicken dishes and pisto kulfi for dessert the whole meal was way below average both of the chicken dishes lacked in flavours and the kulfi (imagine ice cream with no sugar!) tasted like off milk. Giving it two stars because the rice was cooked nicely and plain nann were ok. Will not be returning to this place again! Do yourself a favor and give it a miss!
Delicious food and very good service! We had the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Korma and were very happy! Reasonable prices
Food quality is really good, portion size is generous and staff is very friendly. Will keep on coming back.
Food is really yummy without being too spicy hot, unless you ask for spicy. Their Butter Chicken is heavenly, the Lamb Korma flavoursome & so is the Lamb Saag. Waiters are attentive and respectful without being obtrusive. Definitely a favourite!
Consistent good food here. Truly authentic! I'm unsure why people are scrutinising their portions, I believe it is fair for the price.
Had a fantastic night. Was my mums birthday. Indian is her favourite. We had excullent service and the food was really good. Butter chicken was great, and the garlic naan. Recommend a tandoori chicken for an entree. Over all a great expirience and I will deffinetly return. Vindaloo was also delishious if you like a bit of tasty spice!
Has become my go to Indian restaurant in Melbourne. Consistently delicious, with great service. Great Value
Great tasting food in general, they sure do a good saag and butter chicken. Naan are not as good as they used to be though, to thin and oily. Portion sizes could be bigger for the price, too much sauce and not enough meat.
