Wonderful service, before visiting the restaurant, I was hungry and left work a little late.when I arrived they were about to close, but they opened again just for me, from that day every time I'm around I come back.very good taste and good customer service

Had my first takeaway last night. Lovely food, efficient delivery, incredible value.

Ordered take away again tonight and my Pho and entree of pork paper rolls were delicious. All the ingredients for the Pho beautifully packaged and presented.

This has got to be the most traditional and best Vietnamese restaurant in Melbourne. Thank you so much for keeping your traditional recipes.

Great place for authentic Vietnamese food! Huge menu and lots of dishes to choose from. Been going here for years and always the perfect place to fix my craving for home cooked Vietnamese food. Family run restaurant with very friendly service and delicious food! My favourite is the Sweet & Sour soup with barramundi (chua chua ca kho), stuffed chicken wings are so good with the plum dipping sauce.so many dishes to choose from!

Always excellent. The Roast Duck is at least as good as the Pacific Barbecue and Grill, my other fav Asian restaurant in South Yarra. All the dishes are cooked with care and worth travelling from Mount Eliza to eat there. Certainly the best Vietnamese on Victoria Street and there are loads

Been going here for many years now, but never had the chance to review. My apologies to the staff at Van Mai. Imo this restaurant is a hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle on the Victoria Street. Authentic Vietnamese cuisine at it's best. Decor might be a bit old but that's the way I like. Nice and homey. Stuffed chicken wings are to die for. Authentic Vietnamese sweet and sour soup (Canh chua) taste like mum makes at home. Spring rolls are always tasty. Always friendly and fast service. If you're after mainstream Vietnamese food keep walking further down vic st where all the other restaurants taste the same and serve the same food. If you're after authentic, homey, fresh Vietnamese food. Van mai is the place!

Traditional vietnamese restaurant where you can order noodle/rice dishes along with main dishes to share. The chicken Pho broth was good. The dry noodle was seasoned nicely too. However the chicken pieces and the pork pieces in both noodles are tough and dry. Place is a little dark and not the cleanest place around.

Good food, but please take the "mini chicken dim sims" off the menu. Charging $9 (you tried to charge us $10) for 10 tiny microwaved frozen dim sims from a packet is insulting, please stop selling them immediately.

Always had a good cheap meal here. Lovely staff. Very popular for takeaway as well although I've never tried it. Had out first meal after covid lockdown here! Always happy to come back

Very friendly staff, great vegan and vegetarian options! The Vegan Pho was so delicious and nourishing, packed with veggies and fried bean curd with a generous serving of mint, chilli, lime and bean sprouts on the side! 5/5 for service and quality!

Got order wrong. Was disgusting. Won't go there ever again. We told them we didn't want to eat there but they cooked us more and we had to pay for it. Threw food out straight away

I wanted to go out with my husband to celebrate a special occasion and I feel I picked up the right place. The service was lovely and fast. The food was fresh and the flavours were delicious. In the heart of Victoria Street Richmond in Melbourne this is a place to go.
