Food was fairly good, however one of waitress blonde hair wearing an blue T-shirt was extremely rude. I went inside to get takeaway container, as I asked so nicely to give me one container she raised her both arms in the air and made me feel I’ve done quite huge mistake. I don’t really want to pull an another fact which was discrimination about my race or look. But that girl definitely have learning curve. I feel bad for the owner. Sorry mate but that’s true and if you wanna to look into that matter i am talking about the date 11/02/2020 around 9 o clock, I’ll wait for your response

Good from far and far from good-
Went for an early meal around five pm based on video we saw on YouTube showing the friendly looking owner.went in and there was no ac turned on.the whole place was sweltering hot and being 31C outside didn’t help.
Ordered via app and had to keep waiving at the bored staff to get any service.the brisket and poutine were ok, the burger was good.what soured the experience was seeing the owner, who passed us by and didn’t even smile.looked so grumpy and didn’t even bother coming to the only table in the restaurant to ask if we were ok.also don’t have the audacity to ask for tips on your app when the service is sub par!

The Chicken Wings were excellent, nice hot sauce and a touch of smoke. Perfect.
The Brisket was perfect- it’s the only barbecue place in Melbourne where the Brisket is not dry
My only suggestions are - a little more smokiness in the brisket and the wings would be great. Also some desserts Like pecan pie and key Lime pie on the menu and I would never have to go back to the US!

The meat was good and cobs but as we might have to wait 1 hour and 10 minutes to receive the entrance and cold! They changed it ok but 1 hour and 20 minutes to receive the whole order. Lack of good service, organization and disrespect against the customer. When we saw that it had been 45 minutes and nothing, we had to ask and that "it was coming" and I'll never come back and we weren't the only ones, they didn't even report that it can take so long to see how willing we are to wait.

Great food, good service. Gluten free options as well. Bring your phone as it is all digital ordering and payment. Finish off by going next door to the ice cream co.

Stumbled across Up in Smoke on our way to a concert. Very much an unexpected find. The UIS Snack Pack looked very promising but the chips were hollow— which was pretty odd, it was a little too rich. We also ordered a small meat tray, buffalo sauce and side of pickled purple onion. I loved the pickles, the jalapeño sausage and the milk bun; everything was good but lacked a depth of flavour.
The servings are quite large. Almost all customers left the restaurant with a bundle of boxed food to take home.

Good food and staffs were friendly. But the online order system was very bad. Can’t really order what we want. And that’s not a great experience for dine-in.

Interesting concept but poorly executed with small servings that are surprisingly expensive. Meats were average at best, dry and tasteless at worst, and for the first time in my life I couldn't bring myself to finish the mac'n'cheese.

Impressive is not enough to describe the experience.
Bloody awesome, didn't want night to end.
Speechless! 5 stars.

Updated 16.12.20.walked away unsatissfied.
Food great as always, though not feeling the mr yum concept.if staff in attendance they may aswell take order, vibe almost gone and felt strongly that mr yum not totally to blame.

Had the pulled poor burger which was average and didn't have much flavor. The brisket was unexpectedly chewy. However, most people seem to like the place so maybe it was just a bad day at the kitchen.

The food is really good except for the dessert. Nothing special. The outdoor area is not good for cold weather. The heaters can not work properly with the wind.

Went here on a Monday around 8PM so there weren't many other diners. This means we got out food within a few minutes! Person working at the bar was accommodating and friendly.
Ordered the crumbled Mozzarella Sticks and the Up In Smoke Burger. My friend, who isn't particularity fond of beef, really enjoyed the burger. She said she would definitely travel here just to eat it again. (She lives east side!) The Mozzarella sticks were nice and crunchy, sauce was tasty too.
Reasonably priced compared to other burger joints.

If only I didn't drive, I would have love to taste to wide selection of beers they offer. The bar looks super fancy and unique.
Speaking of driving, there is some parking nearby but when I arrived there was only one car spot left, so may have to park a bit far. The restaurant is close to the train station though.

5/5 for me.

We visited for the first time and had a great time from start to finish. Not only was the food amazing but the service and wait staff were so friendly and welcoming. I would recommend the smoked apple sangria and anything on the menu. We were a party of 5 with different orders and were all greatly satisfied. Do yourself a favour and go!

Pork ribs need some tweaking.more dry rub and more glaze on the ribs too make them more sticky, also could have been more tender, still a great feed!

Made a visit with a friend here last week and I am so impressed with this place. Lovely little spot, cute decor and very friendly staff. It was about 8pm so there wasn’t too many other people here so we ordered and got our food promptly to which it was spectacular.

We ordered the crumbled Mozzarella Sticks and the Up In Smoke Burger and I am a person who isn't particularity fond of beef but I really enjoyed the burger and would definitely travel here just to eat it again. (I live on the east side!)

The Mozzarella sticks were also very nice and crunchy and the BBQ sauce was amazing.
All was reasonably priced compared to other burger joints I’ve visited!

Defiantly recommend!

Chill laid back restaurant, with fast friendly service. Meats are delicious and also have a great selection of tap and packaged microbrewery beer. Totally recommend.

The ribs were pretty good, staff are very friendly. It made a nice afternoon having a feed and a few drinks enjoying the afternoon sun.

The pulled pork was cold, the burnt ends were tough and flavourless, the milk bun was stale and the mac and cheese appeared and tasted as though it had sat in it’s ramekin for a few days. The sausages were actually quite tasty though.

Very disappointing.

Good barbecue located close to the city. Staff are attentive and friendly. Very enjoyable atmosphere. Great place to have a feed with friends!
