Ulumbarra Theatre

Ideal place for theatre, comfortable and good acoustics but, with a knee injury there is a lot of walking both in side and from the parking areas.

Went to the Abbey Road 50th Anniversary tour. What a show. From Kramm and his mate doing dual drumming sections to the incredible voice of Linda Bull. So much like the concerts of the 60, s and 70, s except for a lot of grey hairs. BRILLIANT.

Theatre is great, modern and comfortable. Interesting history to look at as it's build in the old jail but poor parking options and bar food is limited and small, takes a long time to be served when busy.

A great theatre with excellent acoustics. The entry and common area is an excellent area for a function for upwards of 400 people comfortably. Built in and connected to an old jail makes for a very cool entrance area.

Love what they did with the old Bendigo jail. They've kept the heritage look with a few modern touches which has given the building new life/purpose. It's great that bits and pieces of the building's history are on the wall plaques throughout the main foyer area and some of the old cells have been kept, unfortunately can't access the top level cells. Overall excellent venue for events, well maintained, cafe on site and the staff are great!

An absolutely beautiful venue and has been renovated very sympathetically. Can't wait for our next visit in May.

Amazing venue, old Sandhurst jail, with cells etc in tact and for viewing. Saw Damien Rice here and it was something else!

Great old building. Good to see it repurposed as a theatre. Handy having a bar serving snacks, soft drink & alcohol. Seats are comfy.

A treasure for Bendigo. An old goal turned into a theater with great accoustics. A great place to see a show.

The best theatre in Australia outside a capital city! Incredible space for audience and performers alike!

Brilliant building. Perfect for concerts etc.

I was at a function at the allumbra theatre a few weeks ago and it was really good i have been there before

Great sound, lights and performance all year round. Working backstage was great but apparently the pa system isn't the best it could be. 4/5 stars. Thanks for the great venue.

What an amazing venue that Bendigo has. State of the art and large enough to have some big shows visit.

Went tonight to see Judith Lucy & Denise Scott doing their show "Disappointments ". It was a Full House & the only seats left were upstairs, 2nd row from the back so I thought it may be too far away, but no, it was still easy to see & the accoustics are just so good in our beautiful Theatre.
Love Ulumburra Theatre.

Went to see the Bay City Rollers paid for VIP Tickets, got front row seats only to have people standing up blocking the view. Was very dissapointed that l didn't see
much of the show.

Incredible venue and well organised. Would recommend this venue for weddings, parties any event that wants the WOW factor.

Fantastic theatre. Great arrangement of seats and excellent acoustics. The old cell doors give it atmosphere.
