Great for young kids with short attention spans. Get the thrill of catching fish without all the big hassles

We had such a great day! Our 3 yr old daughter had so much fun catching her first fish for our lunch. The view from inside was so beautiful and relaxing. The food itself was fantastic - the platter was lovely (especially the trout dip), the fish perfect, and the apple pie was probably the best I’ve ever had. Great service. Highly recommended.

I love the tuki trout farm. What an experience of fun and food! And I seem to keep coming back. The farm is so picturesque and serene. Great for families, couples or even some alone time.
On top of that you get to eat your catch! Love the fresh fish and sides, absolutely delicious. I highly recommend you to come here. An experience worth every dime.

Great spot in the country. Friendly employees. When all else fails you can bank on catching trout here #save for Dad's fishing trip

We visited Tuki Trout Farm on the weekend for a relaxing family day out. When we arrived the lady at the reception was very rude and unwelcoming. We were told to grab a rod, bait and a net and be on our way. There was no help on the best place and way to fish. While walking to the ponds we had to dodge the dog poo and found minimal places to sit around the larger ponds. While ordering drinks at the bar the owner started to get our drinks and then walked to the other serving window and proceeded to serve another customer and then come back and finished our order. There was dogs walking around where the trout was being prepared and sitting on couches that were assumed to be for customers. We found the food very expensive for the quality and quantity. The owner was very in our faces throughout the whole seating experience. He was trying to hand feed us himself and touched our food with not only utensils but his fingers. We saw the owner touch raw fish and then serve us, one of us is a vegetarian. There was zero hand washing or hand sanitising done by staff. We tried to make conversation with the owner about the farm and area who answered arrogantly and was creepy towards us. It was very unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable. We cannot recommend avoiding Tuki Trout Farm enough.

Cannot fault them. Beautiful food, beautiful farm and scenery and if you are into fishing you will love throwing in a line. Been twice and plan to return again soon. Worth the drive.

We saw Tuki highlighted on Postcards recently and decided to go up for lunch. Most impressed. Great rural location with unique panoramic views. Lunch served in an "American Style" hunting restaurant. Lovely food with attentive service. Fished for some trout after lunch. Very enjoyable day out. Looking forward to seeing some rabbit on the menu when next up.

We got the lunch package which included entry, gear hire and ability to catch one fish and have it cooked for you for $38.

Staff were rude and not helpful. We weren't shown how to fish despite the staff member knowing it was our first time fishing. We got scolded later when we didn't magically know how to do things properly.

Staff didn't wear masks and didn't social distance.

Cappuccino was sour and not drinkable. Fish wasn't well seasoned and was just okay.

We won't be back, felt like we were a burden on them despite being the only customers there.

It was a great experienced catching fish on pond with kids. The boys are very helpful and staff served very well. I missed a table service cause kids are very tired so need to leave early as I was expected. Still I have given five stars and recommended to visit this place.

We took our daughters and guide dog puppy to Tuki for Cup Weekend.

From the moment we arrived until we left we were astonished at how accommodating and professional their entire team and Tuki was.

The accommodation was beautiful, stone cabin with an open fire. It was very clean and homely. In the room the beds were very comfortable. They provided ground coffee, multiple types of tea, a kitchenette. It was fantastic!

The views look like they are off a post card and the Restaurant food was so good that we intended to eat there twice but ate there 4 times. We even envied friends who live near by.

My girls and I loved the fishing which Tuki scaled gutted for us. We will enjoy our freshly caught trout for the next few days. Our whole family felt lucky enough to be there when they were shearing their sheep. We couldn’t keep our girls away. We felt so safe for our girls to interact with their friendly and brilliant shearer’s and staff. They all looked after them and were very careful and caring.

We will be bringing our wider family back in the future and our girls are already asking when we can go back. We will visit regularly.

Last cup weekend was Byron Bay but our girls want to go back to Tuki next year.

A+ love the food and the experience. My young kids love fishing with me because of this place. The home made bread, lamb sausages and burgers are amazing. Owners/staff are friendly and professional. Keep doing what your doing. Thanks

Food was delicious which makes this review disappointing to write as it was the only thing good about our experience. Service was very slow. The owner was very in-your-face; constantly disturbing us every few minutes. There is a line between good service and just being irritating and he definitely crossed it. There was no concept of social distancing whatsoever. The owner himself was always right up on our table and even poked at our food with a knife as he talked about it. Other guests were gathered around an open fire and were well within 1.5 meters of us at times. This fire is also where our food was being cooked. We could see no hand sanitiser for guests use and indeed no adherence to restrictions. However the worst thing was the owners dog was freely allowed to wander around the dining area and often got under our table which was just disgusting. I’ve spent my life in the food service industry and never seen anything like it. I won’t be back.

We have just spent three wonderful days at Tuki. I have never felt so welcomed and looked after in any other hospitality accomodation.
When you are greeted by the owners and told you may walk anywhere on the property that is something special. We enjoyed beautiful meals and a true paddock to plate experience this is. While the Chef Jani is on deck the owners are a great contributors to the menu and to preparing food also. The more we heard of the evolvment of Tuki the more we were blown away. The cottages are beautifully located and were so warm with just the open fire. Everything was provided we needed and the most comfortable bed.
In this unusual time we felt as though we had been away for two weeks on our departure, we were very grateful to Robert and Jan for the attention they gave us without being invasive. A very clever and hard working team.

We were out after lock down eased to try and support a local rural business. Instead group was subjected to owners inappropriate racial comments and jokes.

I love how the fish comes quickly and its not like U need to stay there for so long to catch a fish only at TOOKY TROUT FARM!

The website said nothing about a $45 family entry fee but were hit with that on arrival. That makes some pretty expensive fish. Really beautiful location but they need to clearly put the entry fee on the website
