49Great facility and potential. Staff were not overly friendly and were rude to our children
The fishing is fun, easy for the kids. The food beyond amazing, hand made sausage rolls were a delight. The venue very unique and worth the drive. We booked for 14 people and were well catered for.
The male owner was unusually upset that my 14 month old had scrunched a single paper printed menu sheet, I apologized and offered to pay, however he went on about it for so long and loud that others noticed and turned to look at me. He stood over us at the dim lit table, then snatched it from my childs hand, continued on about how terrible it was until I started crying.
Until that point it had been a wonderful experience.
A gorgeous warm homely place for lunch in all 4 seasons. I love thé fish and lamb dishes, warm wood fire place and friendly honest hospitality.
Coming here every year for 20 years. And hope to return many more.
Watching the lambs gambol is part of the joy.
Enjoyed a mini break in one of the beautiful stone cottages.
Perfect views, warm open fire, great food and exactly what I needed - peaceful surroundings. Thanks Jan and Robert
Beware the elderly, male Karen, and probably senile waiter will verbally abuse you while ordering, serve differently to what you ordered and charge for more than you were served! Honestly never had such a bad experience in my life. Oh and you won't catch any fish in the winter. The view was nice, that's why it still gets 1 star.
A wonderful place. Very friendly staffs and helpful. Fishing was fun for the kids and the eat your own catch were yummy. Homely meal by the fire in winter. Can’t get any better than that!
Beautiful place gorgeous views friendly staff great location perfect weekend getaway to relax will definitely return there
Food was good fishing was good. However the service was poor. The older gentleman was very in your face and the overall service was very un organised and confusing. Very expensive and uncomfortable for my partner an I. Sorry unfortunately I wouldn't return
Great place to unwind with great food & scenery but the only problem was owners unleashed dogs which makes it hard for people with animal phobia to commute around the restaurant area.
Kids had a ball I find the pricing very confusing and odd fish farm charges $22 kilo for rainbow trout and admission fee yet major supermarkets charge $20 and fish wholesale even less $$$ it encourages you to cut your day short after a length drive out to the farm
Very rude owner! We were shocked at how blatantly rude he is. So glad we encountered him before going in and wasting our money there.
I do not recommend going there!
Thank you for your hospitality today Robert & Jan.our kids loved catching the fish, 28 in total, the young lad doing the cleaning was a bit grumpy however we loved the Fish and Lamb. Beautiful scenery
Very dirty pet hair everywhere. Old tired mould in bathroom kitchen.dark gloomy room lighting bad log fire not in operation no fire wood and gas fire kept shuting down. Needs a lot to bring it back and far too expensive for what was on offer.
Great food in an amazing location, thank you. My trout was absolutely delicious and Graham's lamb cutlets were melt in your mouth tasty
Friendly owners, very nice experience fishing for trout and scenic view. The owners made the dining experience really personal and engaging, loved it!
It was an amazing trip. I have been to the fish farm for the very first time and was mesmerised by the view, fireplace and friendly people who run this business and make you feel home!
Lady at reception rude. Maybe having a bad day. $12 to step on property and watch a kid try catch a trout. Kept getting hassled from a worker telling us how to catch a trout, when we wanted to take our time and try enjoy our time there. Worker accused me of catching trout then throwing them back, when I sent the trout to be cleaned with someone else. Some happy pills are needed at this place. Other customer's of the trout farm were saying the same thing. Mainly being hassled to catch the trout quickly and go.
Went to Tuki for Sunday lunch.
Enjoyed very tasty meal with old style very welcoming, friendly service from Jan & Rob.
My kids had an experience they won't forget. Beautiful setting inside and out. Great fun catching our lunch.which was beautiful. Cannot beat this for creating wonderful family memories.
