Trattoria Emilia reviews
72Dining here over the past few years has felt like a little secret hideaway and coming home to family. Loved their pivot during COVID when we enjoyed their meals at home regularly. Sensational menu, the warmest staff and the best tiramisu in Melbourne.
Service, food, atmosphere and experience were well above some of the more expensive restaurants available in the CBD. Will definitely be back.
Hidden place inner melbourne cbd. Spring tasting menu 5 courses. Amazing dining experience feel in Italy for 2 hours. Grazie^^
Maybe the flavors were a little too simple for us. I felt at that price point for a 5 course that the experience was underwhelming. There wasn't really a memorable dish that would make me want to go back.
Our favourite Italian restaurant in Melbourne. All the dishes are hits, but if you want suggestions, you can go wrong with the Salumi and their tortellini!
Went here for a work event and found both the food as well as the service to be top notch. The vegetarian selection was great too! Highly recommend if you're after more than just off the mill Italian food.
I initially purchased a packaged pork and beef lasagne from this establishment about a week ago.
Completely understanding the hand make every single one of their products, this particular lasagne seems to have missed out on being a little bit sauced.
Upon sending through one inquiry, Trattoria Emilia responded and offered to send through replacements literally the day after.
I’m still literally in shock that I received an email response from the company let alone such quick, kind and incredible customer service!
in times like this, it’s so important to support small businesses, especially the ones willing to go the extra mile.
I look forward to patronising this restaurant frequently upon its reopening and would recommend their food and their customer service to literally anyone.
I’m completely in thoroughly in all and impressed by the way they carry themselves as a business.
I’ve never had tiramisu quite like this before, it was incredible, so many textures and such a delicate balance of flavours! The location was unassuming and welcoming on a stormy Melbourne night, this place is a true gem.
Ordered latte for takeaway, weird burnt taste and very bitter. I haven't try their food, but i will never go here again for coffee. Disappointed.
Just had to cancel for tonight due to covid changes coming in fast. They were so lovely about it and no charge applied. Looking forward to seeing you guys soon for a delicious feast!
We and our close friends chose trattoria emilia as we had experienced there fine Italian catering at Sarah Goughs Box Grove Avenel winery long lunch. TE is a classic MELBOURNE CBD laneway restaurant located in a unique bluestone former garage. Decor is eclectic. Ambience is casual with starched linen. Service is by charming helpful knowledgeable staff with the charming lyrical Italian accent. We shared 4 different antipasti. All excellent. My fav was the grilled octopus. I had grilled spanish mackerel main. Cooked to perfection! Our waiter chose our wines for us which were sangiovese from tuscany. Delicious and reasonable price.
I’ve been twice and it just gets better. Reasonably priced, great service, amazing food and decent sized servings. You feel like you’ve been transported to a trattoria in northern Italy. Highly recommend it!
You will be transported to Italy as soon as you enter. The food, ambiance and wine were all wonderful. Limited options if you don't eat red meat though.
Trattoria Emilia is our favourite authentic Italian in Melbourne. We have been dining here regularly for a few years and have also ordered their home-delivered menu during Covid-lockdowns.
The menu is seasonal and changes frequently which means there is always surprise and delight when we visit. The staff are lovely and knowledgeable. The venue is considered, homely and feels welcoming. Wine list — fabulous.
We have had wondrous a la carte meals as well as incredibly thoughtful chefs menus. Trattoria Emilia is our forever favourite place to dine in Melbourne.
Love, love!
Can't travel to Italy. But the food here will transport you after the first mouthful. Exquisite and very fine cooking.
Beautiful restaurant. I cannot imagine finding better Italian food in Melbourne. Exceptional wine. Very good service. Overall a really special experience, and highly romantic. We cannot wait to go back.
We used to love this restaurant. Unfortunately it seems the quality has gone downhill. The porcini lasagne was disappointing. The mushrooms did not appear to be porcini mushrooms at all. They looked and tasted like tinned mushrooms. The other dishes were a bit lacklustre also. I hope this was a one off.
Restaurant is lovely, ambience is great, staff are excellent and very attentive. Unfortunately the food is just so-so. Would recommend for a nice spot for lunch or cosy drink and snack.
Small hidden Italian gem in the heart of Melbourne CBD with great atmosphere. The wait staff are the highlight, extremely friendly and knowledgeable. If you get Sinead, she's a superstar. Extensive wine list and new and traditional food items.
A hidden pearl in the Middle of Melbourne. Authentic, amazing italian Food. The location is great anf modern, the food is incredible and the service is cool. For italian food lovers a MUST GO
