Did a great job on our pergola with a bespoke design. The tradesman were friendly and conscientious taking time to ensure everything was perfect before progressing to the next step.

Their website details that their Hallam showroom is open until 1pm on Saturdays. Signage at their showroom advises 1.30pm. I travelled from Essendon to the showroom to discuss and purchase a large louvre pergola. I arrived at 12.30 and the premises was closed. A total waste of time on my behalf and totally unprofessional on theirs. Needless to say I will be purchasing elsewhere.

Quality service provided by the staff. The display centre was amazing as it gave us many options to envision how our backyard would look when it is finished. The builder's practice may be illegal.
We have a small project quoted $12500 and are asked for first deposit $1500 before offering a contract with a price of $11000. Then we are asked for another deposit $1100 as outlined in the contract. Only then, we realised that the first deposit does not form part of the contract price and the staff is unable to answer what the $1500 deposit is for.
1. So we are asked for $2600 deposit even before anything can start. Charging more than 10% deposit is against domestic building act.
2. You are changing $12500 out of a contracted price $11000. The is no tax invoice to support the amount difference. I believe ATO may be interested.
One positive thing is that the staff is helpful and refund us the deposit and terminate the contract. But I still feel there is still need to report to VBA regarding the dodgy action of charging additional deposit outside of contract.

We were moving into a new apartment which required Totally Outdoors to work with the major construction company to supply the materials a long time before they would actually build the louver roof. After many discussions with the building engineers, surveyors, councils and permit requirements we have our louver roof. We only worked with Totally Outdoors by phone and didn't meet them face to face until the construction started. They were seamless in keeping us informed as to the progress, and delivered a high quality product. We couldn't be more happy with the service, product and communication. Thanks to all at Totally Outdoors.

Couldn't have been worse, my wife was in tears after inspecting their work before I got home, in the end we asked they pack all their stuff up, give us our money back and leave. We have lots of photo's if required to submit of the shoddy workmanship. In addition to the extremely poor works they had the temerity to lie about what they planned to do to rectify the situation, only my early arrival home one day caught them out. As mentioned we have the photos to back up the claims, as for being untrue, speak to Jay and the check for yourself. Can and will post photos and emails if required to verify the comments.

We have just had a covered pergola/outdoor room completed by Totally Outdoors. From the beginning of the project We had confidence that we could create something both architectural and distinctive to match our house, and do it at a realistic price. We were very much reassured by the advice and service given by Cameron and Michael as to how we could build it and the materials to use for a bespoke, practical and elegant addition to our home. The contract process was clear and comprehensive and we received sound support from Jenny in order to proceed during the COVID lockdown. Finally the construction team led by Alex were professional and mostly employed an exacting approach to ensure that the final result was of the highest standard. I have no hesitation in recommending Totally Outdoors.

We are very happy with our louvre roof installed by Totally Outdoors over our existing deck. Great service from the team throughout the whole process. The actual build was seamless with a high attention to detail. Thaks to Jay, who initally met with us to help with the design, to the project management team behind the scenes who kept us informed along the way, and to Alex and the build team for doing a great job!

Before I leave a 1 star review would somebody please get in touch with me as I have been trying for well over a year to get my louvre roof fixed. Bernie made the diagnosed that the motor was faulty and would return to replace it. But apparently he no longer works for you. Since then I have spoken with Mel over a dozen times and 2 no shows when appointments have been made. The product when working is great but your customer service falls well short of expectations. I just don’t know what more to do to get this issue fixed. Mel has my number. Mathew.

We recently had a new deck and louvre system put in place. We came across Totally Outdoors in Hallam and they were able to build the deck and the louvre as one project. We went to visit their showroom and were impressed with what we saw.
Jay came out with one of his staff and measured and looked at the project and gave us a quote.
After getting through the Council planning process (which was out of their control), everything was very well organised by Totally Outdoors. All the staff were very good at communicating what was happening and when. The build co-ordinator Jenny and Michael the Site Supervisor were always ready to assist in any way, making the project as stress free as possible.
The deck building crew (Luke and Mike) and the louvre building crew (Paul and Shaun) were meticulous in their work, and in their co-ordination with each other. There were a couple of scratches on the columns which we could not even see, but the pieces were promptly replaced to make sure the end result was beyond our expectations.
