The zaru soba (cold soba) was a great choice on a hot day! My only complaint was that the broth was a bit lacking in flavour and depth. You order via QR code on the table then pay at the counter at the end. They offer complimentary water and tea.

I’ve been coming here for many many years and the food, authenticity and meal portions never disappoint

Great place to dine for lunch, as we just walked in and sat down. Good meals with the gimmicks, love this place

I ordered the tonkotsu ramen which tasted NOTHING like tonkotsu. No pork flavour, no richness in the broth at all. It tasted like 2 minute noodles. It was edible but absolutely not a reflection of a Japanese ramen, and I don’t feel satisfied at all. I am giving this place a 2 star as opposed to 1, purely because the service was good and the food was promptly prepared. Would not recommend if going for ramen, cannot comment on other meals as that was all I had. The lady next to me had katsu chicken which looked like a better option.

Very average, non authentic food. As you can see from the photo, the "ramen" had two minute noodles in it. Apart from the decor, there is no Japanese culture or sensibility here whatsoever.

Not too expensive and it's fast. Food is very good also. I return often with my wife and the owner remembers us

Maybe due to the change of ownership? The quality of the food really was just average. Filling for its price though. Both kaarage chicken & tonkatsu weren't anything to rave on.

Small venue but food was delicious. We had a booking for 10 people, I think they would have struggled to fit us in if it weren't for the booking.

An amazing spot for dinner. Prices are affordable and the food is delicious, reminded me of when I was back in Japan. Service was amazingly fast as well for a Friday night! 100% recommend!

Food was very cheap. But it's far from authentic Japanese. The okonomuyaki isvtasty But it's nothing like real okonomiyaki in Japan. The karaage tasted like the frozen Japanese fried chicken one i Got from coles. I also had the kinchi nabe with tonkatsu. I could not finish it, too bland. The bbq was nice Though. I will only go back for bbq in the future.

My heart is truly broken Suni, Andy! Why did you leave me!

I was one of the first original customers here and I am so so heartbroken to know that it's under new management. I am just so sad after my visit tonight. I'm devastated. Truly.

Without disrespect to the new owners, this is not the same. The staff were still friendly, the prices were still good and the same menu items, and it was quick service, but the quantity and quality of the food is nowhere near the same of the extreme high standard Suni and Andy kept it at. The karage was extremely dry and barely any chicken. Everything was a smaller quantity also.

This was my happy place, my favourite restaurant ever, it was like family to me. I am heart broken.

I will leave my original review as a memory.

Now that things are almost back to normal, make sure you make a booking! I'm so happy and lucky to be able to dine in again! I missed this place and the owners!

This is my absolute favourite place ever. Can get busy at dinner time so please be patient, it's worth the wait. Love Love Tokyo Table!

Everything on the menu tastes AMAZING. The manager, chef, and the staff are the best. ️

I don’t usually leave negative review for restaurant but this one is really a big disappointment. Just don’t call yourself a Japanese restaurant. This restaurant is just selling food in Japanese-like style.

First thing first, I finished all my food. It’s just because I was too hungry, there’s nothing to do with the quality of the food.

Photos speak louder. I have never had a self-claim ramen severed with a cooked egg. If you say, some people may not like runny egg yolk, then ask! The broth is certainly made from soup powder. I don’t believe they freshly made their broth from pork bones. It doesn’t taste like it. It tastes like MSG. Half of the pork is just fat. Way too greasy.

The chicken karaage curry is a total joke. I’m pretty sure they didn’t cook the carrots with the curry base. They are just deadly lying inside of the water like curry, cox they don’t have any flavor. And the curry is just too watery! I promise you, any one can cook the curry better than this if you follow a proper YouTuber‘s recipe. I don’t know where did they learn making this curry. Maybe a caveman from ancient Japan. And the chicken are just some normal fired chicken. Chicken karaage is Japanese style fired chicken which has a special presentation. Those are not chicken karaage.

I don’t even want to talk about the Tempura. Just those supermarket quality frozen bread crumbs covered shrimps were so soggy. I can tell it’s so dead. Very very dead, so as my tastebuds when they were touching this shrimp. The rest is just oily onion rings and sweet potato. To be fair, there’s one good thing about it, it was hot when served.

Oh, I should mention about the environment too. The only thing I can remember there is the fly! The fly that tried to land on my food my entire meal.

What surprised me is, they are actually pretty full. Omg… is it just me or no one care about the quality there?

Unfortunately this is not the same place as it used to be. Although the prices are still the same and good, the portions are a lot smaller and the quality is not the same.

Had a quick dinner here on a Saturday night and what a great find.
Very reasonably priced, great service and help from the staff as we're Japanese cuisine novices.
We shared a BBQ set and tempura vegetables and both tasted great.

We eat here regularly. Small place. Great food. Gets busy at dinner times. Ownership has changed. Food is same tasty, good portions. Service has decreased a bit; less attentive.

Was around the neighbourhood so decided to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was average which was a disappointment. We ordered the gyukatsu but find the quality of the meat to be lacklustre. We also ordered the unagi don which tasted ordinary. The entire restaurant was noisy and smoky. Perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes.

We ordered one gyukatsu and katsu curry and were excited try them, only until we saw the order come out. Gyukatsu - each piece was WAY TOO paper thin and tiny. Tasted average. The curry was so watery and tasted nothing special. Not worth it at all.

Nothing but disappointments, been waiting for 2 years to have a taste at one of my favorite restaurant again since the COVID pandemic, and the experience was terrible. Ordered 1 Tan Tan ramen and 1 soda, took 30 mins for the ramen to be served while 2 other groups arrived after me and almost finish whilst I'm not even served. The table next to me is not even cleared and been there before I arrived and sit there until I'm finished my meal. The place used to be very friendly and fast with the cashier who worked there before the COVID. Overall, just bad
