To Be Frank Bakery

It's been a week since I was there and I still taste the sandwich I had. I brought bread and pastries home, they were the best. I have to keep going back.

Lovely little bakery/cafe, tucked away from the Smith St.crowds. Great service, ambiance, and delicious food.

The line moved fast and everyone seemed really cheerful (staff and patrons alike). The blueberry tart and croissant were both delicious!

This beautiful boutique little bakery is just off the main streets and ticked away. The food, pastries and bread here are amazing! Well through out with their flavour combinations and great variety that will suit most. Sweet, savoury, spicy, and also normal bread on offer. Service here is calm and friendly. Coffee is the only downside here, as it's not good and you'd get much better at any of the cafes in a stone's throw. But the food is that good it still get 5 stars. Treat yourself and try the cheese twist here or the four cheese toastie!

My favourite breads of all time. Incredibly friendly service even when the place is packed. I am so thrilled with the vegan options (especially the eggplant and miso fougasse) and have loved any of the loaves I’ve tried. I have been here many times and will continue to return.

Great selection of bread, treat and savoury items to enjoy on the spot or later. Love this place even if far from home.

A bakery, popular with the locals, offering the usual and Argentinian pastries.

I wanted to try some Argentinian style pastries. The pastries are crisp and dry, not very buttery and filled with dulce leche - a caramel usually made from heated milk and sugar or sweetened condense milk - it is not too sweet (to me) and has a thicker, more luxurious texture than ones make from sugar.

Breads are very nice with interesting options (5*), but wasn't impressed with the pastries (3*). Both almond croissant and some bread with pear were really average and not worth the price tag.

I think this cafe have one of the best or the best almond croissant in Melbourne, the coffee was very good also.

Really love their rye sourdough. Almond croissant was not my favourite, although I see that other people rate it highly, so it may just be a preference. Keen to return to try their other breads.

Definitely a favourite of mine.

Great friendly service and delicious bread and pastries. This bakery has the best cookies in Melbourne. I’ve been here a few times and there is always a wide selection to choose from. I have recommended this bakery to friends and family.

To Be Frank is a bakery that offers a wide selection of pastries - from savoury to sweet, to aromatic and freshly baked loaves of bread. The smell that blows onto the face as you open the door is unexplainable.

Always baking new goods, this bakery will keep me coming back for more.

Inspired pastries that you won’t find elsewhere. Love love love the eggplant tahini swirl and how every time we come in there’s something different. Highly recommend the Turkish bread and focaccia sandwich you can’t go past a classic toastie
