Thuân Phát Vietnamese & Chinese Restaurant / Thuan Phat reviews
62Amazing place to eat, food was delicious. Always come here to buy roast duck and roast pork. Yummy
Fantastic and authentic Vietnamese restaurant.very affordable. However, service is slow and could be improved
Came here before 9pm, was told it was closed while I see people still eating. So I ate elsewhere, once finished, I walked past around 9: 50pm and still see people eating.
Came here another day at 8: 35pm, again was told it was closed. So I ate elsewhere, once finished, I walked past around 9: 20pm and still see people eating.
Door shows closing time is 9: 30PM 7 days. If you’re not going to follow your times, change it, it’s misleading. Some people travel a long way to eat here.
Food is good, but getting real tired of being told it’s closed when clearly not.
Very busy and popular restaurant. Excellent quality food and reasonably priced. The duck is a must!
I waited 5 minutes to get seated and 15 for someone to take my order only to be ignored by every server. I flagged 2 down and they waved me off and continued with their thing absolutely livid.
Ordered seafood laksa, grilled pork chops rice and salt n pepper fried chicken ribs rice. They're all great! Service was fast too. That's why we'd coming back for years and years.
Roast Pork and Roast Duck are excellent. Just be sure to get there early, as they sell out every day without fail.
I would like to give them 4.5, but 5 is also fair for them. I came there last night with my friends. We got 8 dishes, everything was good except the rice (It was a bit hard). I don't like the fried chicken but it is just my personal taste. They have great Food in general. Thank you and Happy New Year!
Food is ok but services are just rude and slow. The guy took my order and in middle of the way without confirming the order he walked away. Please do order properly and not putting your hands in your pocket. Ordered drinks but take 20 mins to come
If you love eating crabs, then you've got to come here and try their fresh crab dishes. My first time here and was well satisfied. Will definitely return to try other dishes.
It's been over a year, thought I'd give it another go but service hasn't improved. Ordered 7 different meals, only 6 came out. Waiting time was 35+ minutes.
Thuan Phat is my number 1 restaurant to dine-in, in St. Albans, regarding Vietnamese food. Their menu is massive, they have a bit of everything and everything is moderately priced. A family of 4 can dine and leave satisfied paying approximately $50 to $70, including drinks. They have the hands-down best roast duck and roast pork in St. Albans! They have many, many more specialties that I've heard from family and friends but have yet to try.
So, I recommend for anyone who's looking for somewhere to dine in St. Albans to give Thuan Phat a try. You won't be disappointed and all leave satisfied!
Delicious food. Nice management. Highly recommended for a family dinner. Vietnamese Fish cerviche is a must try. The roasts here are also highly recommended.
I loved the King prawns battered in duck yolk! For someone who is unfamiliar with Vietnamese culture and cuisine, I was excited to explore something new. The staff were welcoming, and the atmosphere was warm and family friendly.
The food was delicious thank you! I felt very welcome:)
Haven’t tried much from the menu but Singaporean chili crab with noodles and fried baos from here are a 10/10, delicious!
Great food, 12 of us and no complaints about the food. Service was a bit slow, however they were really busy.
One of the best Vietnamese restaurant in Melbourne. Nice duck salad vermicelli pho and pork, prawn rice paper roll. Friendly staff there as well ️
Even though it is one of the best restaurant in St Albans, the waiting time and service is really lacking. Yes there is a lot of people dining in but the waiting time is really bad, they gave me a plate of roast duck first and then 25 minutes later, my noodles arrived which by then the duck was cold. They will always say the food is coming when I ask them but never came sooner.
Overall, delicious food but bad wait time and service.
Can’t fault this much. Extensive menu with great all round quality. Only dish I didn’t like is the canh chua hot pot, very expensive and doesn’t taste good.
The black bean stir fry with chicken was bland which was frustrating since I’m black bean lover.
Chicken ribs are wonderful, the clam with so sauce is very nice.
