The Wheelhouse reviews
32My Wife and I did an Introduction To The Wheel lesson here. It was really fun. Two hours is plenty of time to get a basic feel and make a few pieces. Dean is a really friendly guy and was very good at explaining everything. It was basically the ideal first experience for pottery
Had the best time making pottery at the beginner's class, was a lot of fun. Dean is a great teacher and very patient! Would definitely recommend ro anyone! 5
Great place to start your pottery journey. Dean is an excellent teacher and takes his art and shows you how you can learn to unwind.
The years of experience and background really shows through when Dean shows you the ropes.
The aesthetic of the studio provides an environment that is comfortable, and supportive to try your hand at ceramics.
Came in with no experience on the wheel and after two hours I made a few pieces I was really proud of! Dean is an amazing teacher and I have a new found love of pottery now
Mother - Daughter afternoon
Making pots, memories and plenty of giggles.
A magnificent experience that I would highly recommend.
Thank you Dean! Such a fun night! Wine, cheese, pottery & great company!
Dean really knows his stuff, the space is beautiful & so cosy on a Winters night. Loved that we could choose our glazes at the end. Can’t wait to go back and learn more!
Dean was a gentleman who was very patient and genuine about teaching my group of friends regarding pottery. You could see his passion regarding his craft, and I had a very positive first experience. Would highly recommend to all beginners.
Having never tried pottery before and going along for the experience at the behest of a friend, I was truly surprised by how much I enjoyed the experience. Dean was extremely welcoming, he paid equal attention to every member of our class and led us all patiently through the unexpectedly technical process of throwing pottery.
Pottery itself was an extremely soothing and fun experience, I highly recommend as a date night activity. Go for a session and then grab a pint around the corner!
Wonderful introductory class - thanks so much Dean! I was feeling pretty daunted when I walked in, and then so surprised by the lovely things we created by the end of the session.
If you’ve ever wondered if pottery is for you, there’s no better place to start than with Dean and his intro session. I’d highly recommend:)
Try it! Jo
I had such a great time learning the basic skills of pottery in the 2hr intro class with Dean. I loved his teaching style and have even booked in for a term next month! Can't wait to see what I'll learn next. Thanks so much Dean!
I've never done pottery before (never even thought about doing it!) but doing a class here was amazing fun! The entire experience was really lovely; Dean was super welcoming and I felt comfortable and at ease from the get go. The small class size meant that Dean could really spend quality time giving feedback to each student.
If you've been wanting to try pottery then I'd definitely recommend The Wheelhouse; and if you're like me and you've never even thought about it then give it a go, its surprisingly relaxing and fun.
Had an amazing evening at The Wheelhouse. Completed the introductory class and had the chance to make multiple different pieces. Dean our teacher was fantastic giving us all the individual support and attention needed. Couldn’t recommend highly enough for a fun and entertaining night out. Looking forward to next time!
