The Vincent reviews
61 This place is amazing!
I came here on three separate occasions and each time the food that we ordered was cooked perfectly. I would strongly recommend the steak and nachos.
My partner also ordered the chicken burger and said it was the "best chicken burger" he's had- which is quite surprising given that burgers aren't their specialty.
I can't speak for indoor seating but the outdoor dining area was great with plentiful shade, warm sunlight and water for the dogs.
Overall a cute little quaint dining venue situated near the beach and Albert Park lake.
We love this as a neighbourhood go to pub. Great atmosphere and decent food. The challenge. You book many days in advance, walk in and it ismostly empty and taken to a table that is beside the kitchen door. What bad service. Really!
I love coming here with my mates for great service, cold beers and delicious food. My parents can be super picky about new places but I treated them to a visit tonight and they loved it. Clearly great for family and friends groups as well. My fav local:)
The Vincent has a wonderful atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and is a great place to catch-up with friend with their new outdoor seating area.
Not normally an outdoor dining kind of person. Most places i've gone to felt underwhelming, as i've been able to cook better versions of their dishes and options back home. Plus their ambience usually leaves much to be desired.
But Vincent is something else. The food here is definitely on a higher grade than most places, and the staff quite friendly and accomodating. They've always had great food, and recently went through a menu revamp, making their item selection fewer but quality much higher. At the moment, my favourite dishes are the Chicken Parma and Pumpkin Linguini Pasta. Both are must have's. They also have a special going on this Jan, where you can get all their menu items for 50% off b/w 5-6pm each day. Lately been a regular each Friday after work.
The outdoor seating is especially refreshing, with nice chairs and an astro turf space and a relaxing side street view facing the beach if you pick wisely. All in all, definitely worth making this one of your regular dining destinations if you're a denizen of the area.
Can’t even get a simple order for two hamburgers right. Manager who couldn’t give a stuff and just cancelled the order with Uber eats.do yourself a favour and avoid this place like the plague!
$12 Steak Night. Seriously good steak. These steaks would give a $25 Steak a run for their money. Great service too.
Fabulous $12 parmas on Wednesdays although at the last visit the salad leaves were undressed. Not sure if the dressing was forgotten or if this is just what’s to be expected. But overall great value with happy hour to boot. Love the easy QR code scanning from the table to order. The order was super fast to arrive. Nice n easy friendly local pub with a variety of seating areas in a great spot
The gourmet pie served with no peas as per menu but with broccolini a chainsaw would not cut through. Wont be back even if it was 4for1mains!
We live around the corner, for a quick good meal & drink, always friendly, service and atmosphere great
5 star steak! Highly recommend! And awesome restaurant specials! Can’t beat the 2 for 1 mains! Joeys customer service was exceptional. So refreshing. Thank you for a great foodie experience:)
Great Parma night. I'm less enthusiastic about the fish tacos but whatever, 12 Parma are worth it anyday
$11.60 for a Schooner of Heineken and $9 for Great Northern which included a 10 percent surcharge for Australia Day. Sorry not for me! Their happy hour only brings prices in line with other pubs full prices which is a high price to be "trendy".
Good for a drink, especially Happy Hours that end at 7.00pm. Good for "grab a granny" most nights when it is warm. The older unattached set of women descend on the place and compete with children with it without parents who are dining free. Can be a bit of a mess, especially when the bar crew talk amongst themselves rather than serve paying punters.
Good food offering. The sweet potato fries are a must. Pizzas are pretty good, very cheesy. The vegie burg is also pretty phat. Healthy selection of beers and drinks. Really like the use of the online ordering service, would recommend you get that phone out and scan those qr codes.
We had our sons 21st in the Emerald Room upstairs (German-style) - a fantastic venue to hold a party. The staff were fabulous - so helpful & friendly. The finger food we ordered was great. Everyone had a fantastic time, we will definitely be back again!
I have just returned from having a very disappointing lunch at The Vincent with 7 work colleagues for our Christmas lunch / work break-up.
I booked a table on the 20th of November. I was not made aware the booking had a 1.5hr seating time. If I was made aware of this, I would not have made the booking.
At 2: 20pm (10 minutes after we received our food and a round of drinks) we were advised that we needed to vacate the table by 2: 30pm as there was another booking.
Whilst we were trying to finishing our food and drinks, we were again told that we needed to vacate.
It is absolutely not acceptable to be advised to finish our food and drinks within 10 minutes – without any further warning! It also only seemed to be our table that needed to vacate.
We were all looking forward to our lunch at The Vincent, as a number of our friends, work colleagues and customers frequent your restaurant. However due to the unacceptable service we received today we will not be returning.
Disappointing - service is incredibly hit-and-miss. Really wanted to like this venue because it's so close to us but went twice and have no plans to return.
Great pub located in Albert Park.
Good menu to choose from in the restaurant and a nice selection of beers.
Has sports on the screens and entertainment on the weekends.
The fit out has been done well, keeping the charm of this older building.
Had birthday party here, everything was perfect. Ellie and team were very nice and helpful. Highly recommend
