The Vincent

2nd time I have been here since the name change and waited over 15 minutes for a drink. Multiple staff standing around chatting. Used to love it but not so great since the new folks took over.
Particularly strange that they advised coffee was difficult.

Grilled octopus, fried calamari, lamb ragu and pork cotaletta were all outstanding. Delicious flavours and cooked to perfection.

Way better than prison

Went here for a work christmas party. Food was good, vibes were great - service not so great. Took over 45 mins for first round drinks, then some where forgotten, had to ask waiter to order food and mains, just was a little bit of a mess

New owners. Now named Vinny’s Disappointing menu. Overpriced and the meal lacked flavor. Ordered the Casarecce pasta which looked, tasted and was sized for a child’s meal.
Very different from The Vincent! You cannot buy a Parma, Burger or ‘Pub’ meal here.

What a hidden gem this is!
Gorgeous transformation happening in this beautiful pub. The food was delicious and can’t wait to try the new menu launch in September! Thank you my local is now absolutely stunning

Food came out on time despite the busy rush. Flavour was on point. Jordan, the manager, was attentive and accomodating.

Food used to be good, don’t know what’s happened. Went there last night for dinner, food was very average to say the least. Still a good venue, just to food at the moment is no good.

Stopped in for a few drinks and sliders, the service was friendly, the beers were decent priced, and the sliders were nice. Inside venue is nice, looked to be plenty of room.

Relaxed atmosphere and very clean.

Large proportions of food for the light snacks.
Chicken nachos were easily for 2 people.
Elderflower spritz was very good apparently.

We visited The Vincent for the very first time late one afternoon and had a few drinks and nibbles at the bar which was great and the wait staff that served us was very nice and friendly. It was relatively quiet at this time but I could imagine that it would be a lot busier later in the evening as it's a popular hotel with locals. All up, we had an enjoyable experience.

Had Xmas lunch at the Vincent which was fantastic. A great venue, staff are polite, happy and very efficient. The food was delicious, a great variety and plenty of it. We could not finish the food and we are big eaters. A great lunch and we will be back.

Service was fantastic - staff really helpful, friendly and approachable.

The standard of food was appalling.
We ordered 2 scotch fillets and 1 porterhouse. They were not cooked well (we ordered medium rare and it came almost well done). The quality of the steak was terrible as they were thin and grizzly. Better quality meat is expected when paying $50 for a steak.

Our first visit here was for Christmas lunch. Their food was fantastic and their service was friendly and efficient. Absolutely five star service all the way. Thanks so much for making it a lovely meal.

Nice atmosphere and great bar. Food was delicious and this place is right next to South Melbourne beach

High quality meals for a reasonable price. I highly recommend it. In regards of the wines, most of them are very young and slightly unbalanced. I only found a couple of nice, elegant european bottles.

Excellent service, very friendly and attentive staff, great food and nice choice of drinks. I had a fancy dinner here some time ago and recently I just had a casual lunch special with a pint of beer. Both times it was great. Thanks a lot!

Really enjoyed it. We had fish and chips after watching our son play handball on the beach. A very nice end to the day. Friendly and courteous staff. We sat outside under their sun umbrellas. Lovely.

Thanks for restarting the weekly specials. We had the Thursday Parma last night and it was delicious. The accompanying chips and salad were excellent too (often not the case with some pub specials). Great value and my campari spritz was pretty good too!

Our new favourite local. What a chnge this pub has gone through! Food is exceptional on every visit and some of the best service I've received in years. They have recently gone through a change of management and chef and what an improvement it has been. We use to avoid this place like the plague but now find ourselves here every week. Please keep it up!
