The Village GP Black Rock

The Village GP Black Rock this morning provided me with excellent medical advice. My experience of this clinic has always been positive. The doctors are very caring, listen carefully and explain their diagnosis in easy to understand language.

The team at the Village GP Black Rock are wonderful, welcoming and only occasionally lick your face (mostly Dogtor Paddy and Orla do that since they are adorable therapy Labradors). If you want a professional local doctors office with kind staff and a welcoming environment then come here!

Had a great experience this morning with Dr Maureen, I’ve been looking for a regular GP for a while after a lot of uncomfortable and unhelpful visits with other doctors and the visit this morning went really well, she was helpful and knowledgeable with my issue and was very non judgemental and detailed with other discussions. Would recommend anyone looking for a new GP to give this clinic and Dr Maureen a go. Definitely feeling very comfortable and confident in the next visit, whenever and for whatever that may be. The dogs are adorable too.

After my doctor retired I needed to find a new local doctor. After driving past the clinic I decided to try my luck with an appointment to a doctor that who be the best fit for myself and my family. Wow. From the first phone call with the incredible reception staff to the fact I got an appointment the same day I was blown away. I didn’t mind paying an out of pocket cost if it meant the staff are friendly, professional & genuinely eager to help. Face masks were provided at reception with the option to leave a gold coin donation to a charity box. The Dr apt was thorough and I didn’t feel as though I was being rushed. I can’t recommend The Village GP Black Rock high enough, thank you & I look forward to a long term relationship with the clinic for myself & my family.

The Village GP Black Rock (Maureen Burke, Principal General Practitioner/Owner) situated in the heart of Black Rock village, is a caring practice where I have received excellent medical care. This morning I was greeted by the friendly receptionist, Kate, and the two certified therapy dogs, Paddy and Orla (golden princess) and immediately felt welcome. The Village GP Black Rock is patient-centred, with all that a modern practice can offer in a considerate and supportive environment.

Really lovely practice with helpful professional support staff. Dr Richards is a great doctor - empathetic and thorough.

Such a committed, caring practice. The reception staff are friendly and efficient and they and the doctor bend over backwards to assist. The attention to detail in the doctor's room is exceptional and I feel heard and acknowledged. The addition of the gorgeous therapy dogs makes this a lovely practice to visit.

I have been seeing Dr Maureen for around 7 years and I couldn’t imagine a better GP. She is so thorough and caring. Dr Maureen knows how to keep me grounded and I have never appreciated a GP more. Her knowledge of the medical profession is OUTSTANDING. If you are looking for a doctor who can and will help you, look no further, Dr Maureen is the one.

Maureen and her team take a real interest in their patients - a refreshing change from the walk-in-walk-out offerings from fly by night practices. I consulted the Village GP after contracting Covid and they were extremely supportive.

I am very impressed with the care from all staff and the thorough treatment received. All my past relevant medical areas were addressed. The GP checked all past tests and I am redoing some that needed to be repeated. I gave the names of my specialists and a past practice so my history can be obtained.
Unfortunately several practices in this area have joined together and there is a huge case load. The staff do not know you and in the last practice I could not always get an appointment.

Such a lovely atmosphere and the doctors are very thorough. Highly recommend. Can’t get past Dogtor Paddy though - he’s adorable!

Whether in person or over the phone beyond perfect service from the receptionists, doctors and nurses. It's a practice that wants to know there patients and help in every way possible.

Dr Maureen has been such a pillar of medical support for our entire family that not only has she exceeded expectations helping with every ailment that our family has been through but she also considers various pros and cons of alternative pathways for any difficult medical situation. The staff Linda, Jacob, dogdoctors are all so friendly and accommodating and Dr Allison and Dr Michael are also both really amazing as GPs.very blessed and grateful to have found all this care and support under one roof.a blessing for the entire community really.all the best to the Village GP team.keep shining guys. To add to all this wonderful care is the convenience of a pathology lab right there and the very gentle phlebotomist who does the very best job of taking a blood sample- thank you.

I don't usually comment or post on social media, but I feel a great need to thank the entire practice team at Village GP Black Rock. Just over four years ago my family and I (we are a family of 5) moved from Germany to Australia. We are very happy to have found such good, trustworthy doctors and have been patients since the practice opened.
Dr Maureen, Dr Kelly, Jacob, the nurses Kate, Linda and Christy always take care of our health with a lot of time. Competent and thorough, empathetic, always friendly and patient, they take care of our health problems and illnesses.

Such a wonderful clinic with wonderful staff. We see Dr Richards and I couldn't recommend her more. She takes the time to set my mind at ease with any questions I have. Would highly recommend her to anybody.

I was charged $120 for a 16 minute appointment - it seems they are all about the money. I had a PCR test and tested negative for covid, flu and rsv but still had to attend their ‘cold and flu clinic’ rather than seeing the doctor I had booked with as I had a sore throat. Receptionist is also very rude.
