I booked the upstairs section for my birthday and had a wonderful night. The staff were very hospitable and made the whole process very easy, and the venue provided the perfect atmosphere. The great selection of beers and good food topped it off.

Bit of a hovel, wish you’d invest in some nicer furniture out the back. Drinks on tap were ok.
It’s open really late though so I think that’s the appeal maybe.

Really good place, cosy downstairs, interesting upstairs, nice balcony, different beers and really tasty food.

Great atmosphere and a fun quiz. However, my friends bought a pizza each and both of them wound up with food poisoning. Avoid the food!

I performed here as a singer three times. The open mic host is friendly and always tells me to come back any time. The $10 burgers every Wednesdays are very delicious, in my case I got two beef patties. It's a wonderful place to get together. Also on some Wednesdays, I come to bring free candies. If anyone is interested to see me sing and throw candies around, come on a Wednesday.

Cosy and lively at the same time. Great place to have a few drinks before the start if the working week. That's why it's a regular:)

The Thornbury Local is a homely & welcoming venue with great taste in music, food, and company.

Whereas there is full bar service, my favourite is the home brewed non-alcho ginger beer.

Service is warm & unpretentious. Decor is relaxed yet interesting.

Went there for the music; love Blue Hearts.
The wines were good, I didn't find the food attractive but then, didn't really expect to.

If you don't vote Greens then you will probably enjoy this upchuck swill, take a swipe if that's your market.or go to the Northern Git or maybe even Bicycle Thieves Cafe if you really feel like something like that.
Literally anywhere else on High Street is better for Music/Food/Drinks.

Worth coming for the vegan burger alone. The cosy beer garden out the back is a great spot for a late night drink.

Attracts a pretty relaxed crowd. Wide variety of drinks and the staff are friendly. Good environment.

Quite a nice place. Not big enough to get over crowded. The trivia on Tuesdays is fun and the fried chicken was succulent.

Recently moved nearby, and this has a real feel of a local pub. The food was really tasty too. Friendly service, and outdoor area so you can bring the dog!

We organised a small wedding reception at their upstairs area for a Sunday. I cannot put in words how wonderful everything went there. The staff was super accommodating, specially Johanna, who helped us organise the whole thing. Food was delicious and we got all the drinks we requested for. Excellent service, at the end of the night all of our guests were more than happy. Thank you Johanna and the rest of the staff for everything

I've only been once and it was pretty early in the evening, but the staff were really nice. Top notch cocktails and good comfortable vibes. Great work guys

There's quite a few attractive men working here. Highly recommend for a good perv.
Drinks and music are decent too

Does the best food trucks in all of Thornbury and great drink deals. Just a good solid space to spend an evening in the spring and summer

Used to be a fantastic venue with the old owners, however has now descended into a den where “gentlemen” such as Ryan Fort attempt to literally grab women and force them into a cab with them. Very creepy.

I’m rating this place highly purely because the beer I tried there was unreal! It was a dark ale or IPA and had vanilla flavours through it. I wished I had stayed longer to enjoy my love but sadly after our party upstairs had ceased all 50 of us had to leave. It had a really quirky crowd and the bathrooms are downstairs in the smokers area. I’ll definitely be back even though it wasn’t my scene, that beer was crazy good lol

The vegan pizza is an absolute steal at $10 WITH vegan cheese. Beautiful warm little place with nice staff and cozy couches.
