Place can’t afford security guards or even cameras so their bartenders think they’re cops. Go literally anywhere else. The Croxton is just up the road and is an actual venue. Go there instead.

Good options for beers, one of the best bars in Thornbury, i might be a bit biased cause its my favourite bar, but oh well. Give them a visit. The staff there are lovely!

Such a great little pub, wonderful staff who make everyone feel welcome, and delicious food.

It's a cozy little bar, with some sweet music, tasty food, and an eclectic assortment of furniture. Great for a date or a small group of mates.

Really enjoyed the Wednesday night open mic. Total respect to all the people who got up and gave it a go. Really fun! Nice food and great staff too.

Consistently excellent. Affordable burgers have no business being this good. Dive bars have no business being this friendly. Trivia hosts have no business subjecting people to their idiosyncratic music tastes. Apart from the 3rd trivia round, it's an amazing bar. Also sometimes a person brings their pet rabbit to chill. 5 stars.

As a disabled queer person, I have supported this venue for a long time, after tonight and the way they described my disability then threw me out.go elsewhere

Best bar in Melbourne. Great food, cheap beer, music every weekend with free entry and open mic on Wednesday. Owners, staff and locals here are the best kinds of people. Can't wait to go back!

First pub I went to since landing in Melbourne and continuously going back. Love everything from the Decor, to the smoking area to the upstairs balcony. Food is great, loads of weekly deals and fab open mic on Wednesday’s. Has to be said that the staff make the place; they’re extremely friendly and welcoming. Great suggestions like the Tempranillo from Cal or Pot & shot recovery tactics from Liam. Place has great atmosphere and good vibes. See u all again soon!

Cracking pub.
Love atmosphere, good local ales, friendly Bar staff and nice, reasonably priced food.
Toilets aren't amazing but that doesn't matter because the rest of the place is great.

Fabulous people. Have been coming here since it opened back when Thornbury was just firing up. They have been key drivers in making Thornbury the vibrant community it is now. I always leave feeling better about the world.

Thornbury wouldn't be the same without the local. Tuesday trivia goes off and the Po'boy is real good.

Sort the smoke out.
Lovely open fire out the back, however, the smoke fills the bar.
Three of us sat inside for a couple of beers. Got home and smelt like we had been camping.
It was the same with cigarette smoke during summer.
I’ve been drinking there off and on for 15 years.
Something has changed. Too many other options so won’t be back for a while.

Pests. Worst customer service with discriminatory management with severe superiority complex. Don’t spend your hard earned money with salty people like these
