The Store reviews
56 Nice vibe and area.
Put cheese, mayo, relish and salad on their “breakfast” roll which is a bit much. Maybe i should have described what i was after in a bit more detail.
Very popular Cafe catering for gluten free customers and all types of coffees. Usually a 20 minute wait for most orders.
Little butcher attached to cafe and providor. Just stopped in for some meats and bread. Can say the meat was 100% approved of by the family at our BBQ. The bread which was a quinoa and soy bean was perfect just lashed with some butter. Would recommend for your next stay in Cowes.
Great sandwich and coffee. Nice hide away out this side of the island. Don't forget to look in the paddock to plate butcher.
Go to The Store regularly for great coffee, a good rustic place to hang out of the regular trade. They make the best roast veggie toasties! They are yummo!
Cute little place, probably popular with surfers and the 2021 hippie, organic lovers. Food and coffee great, all freshly made in the smallest of small kitchens. Young vibe, friendly staff. Very good
butcher next door to cafe as part of The Store?
Delightful cafe, visited twice in one weekend. Very friendly service, good coffee and tasty well priced food.
I called into The Store on the way back to Cowes from The Nobbies. Lunch was lactose free cappuccino, vegan toastie, fruit toast and chai.
Very disappointing experience when my elderly mum visited this morning:
When letting a staff member know that the customer use hand sanitiser was empty the staff became frustrated with her and suggested that she has her own sanitiser in her handbag.
I know that keeping sanitiser bottles full can be tricky and frustrating. I'm sure it can be even more so in a popular boutique tourist shop like yours.
I really do appreciate that you are providing them as a courtesy to your customer and you are trying to keep us that little bit safer by having it available for customers to use.
But maybe next time when a person lets you know they are empty please don't put your frustrations on them?
Delicious toasties. Too late to taste the gourmet home made pies. Friendly staff. A definite must place to visit when you are on Phillip Island
Went twice in a raw.top quality coffee. Loved the pear and cinnamon cake. Very cosy atmosphere.
I discovered this little indie café whilst staying in the vicinity, by 10am there were already 10-15 people enjoying their morning coffee. I went inside and requested a table, a team member said help yourself and we'll be out. Only moments afterward more people began piling in, overwhelming the 4 staff members onsite.
There is no table service here, grab a menu from inside and order at the counter. All staff were friendly and plates cleared from tables in good time, pricing is very reason reasonable. Nice outdoor seating area and a popular local takeaway caffeine spot.
The food is very tasty. The coffee is good. Service excellent if a little slow - however worth waiting for.
Fast friendly service at this casual cafe or take away. Basic breakfast and lunch menu e.g. Toasties and pies. Several gf pastries too.
Good quality ingredients make the experience delicious.
In addition, bought delicious bread loaf and HC buns to enjoy at home.
Amazing butcher shop attached to the cafe.real meat rather than anemic pieces from the supermarket.
Very friendly servers the Cuban toastie was amazing. Lovely selection of items. Can also recommend the yo-yo biscuits.
Love this rustic coffee hideout. Service is second to none even when busy.especially now that this Phillip island locals little secret is getting out! Butcher is also a treasure!
Great gluten free pies & cakes also good deli selection. The adjoining butcher is also worth visiting
Dropped into the store today for a take away coffee and it was 'nice'. However, I asked for a short machiatto and what I got was more a picolo.too much mikl. A short mac should only have a couple of teaspoons of froth.not pour warm milk!
The coffee had a nice taste and they are using a local Wonthaggi roaster - FOLKS. They make nice coffee beans.
This place is certainly bustling on a Saturday morning. So don’t pop by for a quick coffee or bite. It is a lovely place to people watch. Produce and butcher also look great. Coffee was yum. And the resident chicken is quite entertaining.
