The Store reviews
56For a delicious coffee and pastry head to The Store. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is quiet and inviting.
This place in a hidden treasure of Phillip Island. Our absolute favourite whenever we visit. Consistently good coffee and chai and delicious treats. The staff are awesome, super friendly and amazing at what they do. The retail store is super cute too.
We love the back area indoor seating space, it was very comfortable and well decorated. Service was great and we will definitely return again!
Great place, would definitely come back. Really nice food with lots of options, great GF options as well! Cute wall with all the dog photos too, enjoyed their toy library for pups
Love this Phillip Island hideaway. Our go to every time we’re on the Island for fantastic coffee and yummy baked treats. Also conveniently located next to a butcher shop (if meat is your thing).
Super cute local spot! Good coffee, fresh bread, grocer and attached butcher to pick up your basics while on the Island! They have a great selection of pies for all dietary needs both vegan and GF and friendly staff. Definitely worth a trip:)
I visited Melbourne and the surrounding towns recently. I tried closed to 30 cafes during this trip and I would rate the Magic coffee at The Store to be my top 5 cafes that served good Magic coffee.
We were there a bit late in the day so there were no pies or sausage rolls left but had some delicious house made, Crumpets. They were delicious.
I love this cafe! Delicious and well priced food, great coffee and beautiful staff. A gorgeous little cosy place to take the kids and pup! There are toys and seating indoors however if it’s busy rug up a little as there’s ample room outside!
One of our favourite little stops on Phillip Island. We went for lunch after exploring in the morning. Toasties and pies were excellent, and coffee was very good. We also bought some meat to cook for dinner (sausages and lamb chops). That was delicious too, and cooked up beautifully. Recommended.
Beautiful toasted sandwiches, Portuguese tarts and coffee. The butchers and fresh bread also looked delicious
A wonderful place to visit with lovely coffee. The toasties are amazing. Have been treated with take away coffee since Christmas but this was my first taste of their food.
5 star for the setting, coffee, and beef pie. 2 star for the overly greasy Cuban Toasty, and overly sauced brekkie roll (who wants mayo *and* tomato sauce on a breakky roll? Light tomato chutney would have worked)
Given there are very few places on Philip Island to get gluten free food this is a bit of a hidden gem.
The majority of the pies available are gluten free. I can't attest to the prep but in the pie heater at least they are all on the top level so they are safe from cross contamination.
In terms of sweet treats I saw a sticky date cake. It was next to the other cakes and also had different coloured crumbs on it so it's high on the CC risk for a coeliac.
We ordered coffees, the milk was well textured and my friend enjoyed their oat latte. I found the flat white to be weak / quite milky (it was the same volume as the latte so.). The matcha was nice but it was sweetened with honey so keep that in mind if you are vegan.
All coffees come with a tiny teddy on the spoon so make sure you let them know when ordering not to get that if you are gluten free. I just got myself a new spoon from the counter.
There's a small range of local produce and gifts in the store and a butcher.
Food was very good, however because they were rather busy it take about 20 -30 mins to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait!
Had a coffee here with friends on Saturday and gotta say it was one of the best I’ve had in ages and certainly the best on the island. Whoever the barista is certainly knows what they’re doing. Thank you! ’
Great setting. Very popular thus coffee orders can take a while. Could do with a better breakfast selection/variety.
Quality goods, good range of gluten free & vegan pies, sausage rolls & cakes, very tasty, need to get there early sell out quickly
Yum, yum, yum…I haven’t been here in ages and it was as yummy as I remember it! They have some serious magic skills to know how to queue the sun exactly when they brought out my chai latte ️️️️Thank you
Didn’t have any food! “Can take it home and cook yourself”, just at the start of lunch time. PS. Staff should be wearing masks.
