The Sports Bar at Highpoint

I just love this place. Great place to just chill back and watch sports on the big screens, get a drink with a mate, have a punt on the horses (or dogs), or try your luck at the pokies. They have arcade games and even pool tables to play on. Come on a Sunday and the pool tables are free all day! Like I said, it's a great place! Love it!

This place, is safe.

Despite the recent renovations of this establishment,

it keeps its old school character.

If one wishes, they can play a free game of snooker every Sunday,

or if they have some pent up anger they can punch a punching bag.

The Pokies here are also solid and diverse, I won enough to have a drinkypoo, and for that reason alone, I must give this establishment five stars out of five.

Went in to watch the ufc and had a calamari main.great service and sports galore on the all the TV's.

I played in the first competition and it was fun however the 2nd was a nightmare. The conduct allowed in the 2nd session is atrocious.

I'm calling on the venue to do something about an elderly gentleman.

The elderly gentleman in question kept antagonising a couple and the table until the Couple couldn't handle it anymore. We he incited the reaction he wanted. Which was complete hostility and tension you couldn't breathe near. He began calling the male of the couple slurs until the young male chirped back with slurs. Gaining the reaction he provoked to then threaten to punch the young male in the head in front of his gf.

THREATEN ASSAULT. WHICH IS ASSAULT.

I trying to be a good Samaritan try to cool the situation and speak to the host unbiasedly that both were wrong on there insults equally. The elderly gentleman started the provocation and then threatened violence. To which the couple got split and I was left sitting next to the elderly man.

Which he walks off only to return to tell me he will remember me and so on and make me feel unsafe.

The elderly gentleman must be a regular as he was overly familiar with the host.

I would never recommend anyone to have to sit through and be subjugated to that treatment.

The elderly gentleman should have been removed after the threat of assault. But he is going on non stop how the couple should be banned. While he also threatened me through insinuation. A person who has a mobility impairment.

Disgusting, Appalling and Atrocious conduct allowed to go on at this venue.

I'm calling on the Venue to look at the CCTV and look for the elderly gentleman with his wife adjacent standing to his left next to a younger couple. If this is not nipped in the bud. If they are regulars. This could lead to a future situation where another unsuspecting person or vulnerable person is threatened or assaulted by this elderly gentleman.

Come here all the time and keep coming back for the fantastic service. Especially Carl, Zak and Sam

The staff are so lovely and accommodating service was great. And such good vibes from the workers. And serving time was very fast.

I decided to chill out here for a drink and some snacks. I love a long Island ice tea and you would be surprised how many venues have ZERO idea how to make a good LIIT. I was served by Anna who was very friendly and OMG does she know how to make a classic long Island ice tea. I highly recommend, oh and they only charge $17 here (some places are totally ripping off customers. I paid $29 at another venue recently). I also took Anna's recommendation to try the honey soy chicken wings. DELICIOUS! I Love Highpoint Hotel, at first glance you might form a stereotype opinion but this place has service that's much higher than the coolest places in town. I recommend that you check it out.

I’ve come to this place for 2 years now and the food has seriously gone down hill. I used to love eating here and now avoid it. A few times I’ve tried booking tables here and when I arrived the table was never reserved. Tonight I asked what time the kitchen closes and was told 9. I tried to order food before 9 and was told the kitchen was closed. At no fault of the server because that’s what they were told.it was due to lazy kitchen staff that wanted to finish early. Not to mention the food is below average and the kitchen aren’t even bothered to serve the food with the sauces that are on the menu.

Not the best food here, wouldn’t have it again if it was half price. The steak was over cooked dry and tough. The Parma again was dry and over cooked. Felt really rushed by the staff member when I went to order and there was no one waiting as it was a Sunday and the venue was dead.

The staff are very nice but the meals very poor. The rolls very hard and my hamburger was made with VERY hot Chili sauce.

We visited the highpoint hotel last night for a catch up with friends, first and last time we will go there
The whole place was filthy, the food took forever to come and when it did, was inedible. I had the southern fried chicken burger which wad so overcooked that I couldn't even bite the meat and my partner had to eat the steak sandwich with a knife because it was so tough
The staff were friendly though and were doing a great job

It's fine for a drink, but the food is really really bad, the chicken for the schnitzels was gross and everything was so bland

We have been to this hotel for dinner and poker nights many times and decided not to go or recommend to any friend due to lack of hygiene in both male and female’s bathroom.there is never any soap in their soap dispensers, we have tried all of them. When asked staff every time they ignored us! Although the sign on the wall says wash your hands with soap but SORRY WHERE IS THE SOAP? !

New to the area and we’ve already been here half a dozen times, it’s a fantastic venue, always very clean, great food, good for any crowd, young, older and in between! Huge screens and a trivia night. We go as a family with our two kids and are always treated so incredibly well. Staff really go above and beyond - especially Carl whose kindness is very rare and so appreciated. This place is our go to and will continue to be!

Absolutely bangin spot. Carl is an absolute gem. Always makes everyone feel welcome. 10/10 recommend
