The Settlement Historic Hotel

It was a tiny room with disappointing water pressure in the shower. Basically a dribble. The hot water tap leaked and burnt my hand as well. The bed was hard and the pillows were low quality. To it’s merit the room was clean, but if you want a comfortable stay with none of these problems and for far less money, drive the extra 40 minutes and stay at the deni settlement instead.

Great location, a short walk into town and close to all the wonderful sights and activities Echuca has to offer. Stayed there for 5 weeks whilst working in the area, at a very affordable rate. The staff were wonderful. Room was neat, tidy and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely. The staff were fantastic and so accommodating for our needs. Great for a 1 night stay or even longer if you wish. It's fantastic for motor bikes and even though I am not a smoker they do accomdate for that if necessary.

Clean rooms. Small, but it is only for sleeping in. Great that the kids had a separate room so we could close the door and not disturb them.

I've been constantly staying there since 2006.
I Couldn't be happier with them and therefore I most highly recommend them to anyone.

Hotel room was old but clean and the beds were comfortable, unfortunately the noises from other guests all night and traffic ruined the experience.

The proprietors are very friendly and the room was clean, which I consider a basic requirement. The reason I deducted 2 stars is, the freezer in the bar fridge was totally iced up, lights were either not there, or not working. Lack of attention to detail. The Airconditioning is either on or off, no adjustments possible.
At the swimming pool, which is kept perfectly clean, which can not be said for the surrounds. There is a disintegrated rusty umbrella base, I would say that this is totally unacceptable as children, who enjoy the pool, could hurt themselves and tetanus caused by rust is possible. I would say that somebody of the team is not pulling his weight.

Stayed 2 nights australia day weekend' Very noisy guests in two adjoining rooms' Gave us little privacy. Party till 1.00am sat night and late sunday night right outside our door Felt threatened whenever we entered or left our room. Management stated they did not wish to call police as it was bad for business. 2 sleepless nights would not stay here again would not recommend We had to put up with bad language fighting women screaming and fighting, car with boat attached blocking access to car parking childrens toys outside our door too much
