Cost: The best value-for-money food in town.
Ambience: Sunny (the restaurant owner) and his team are amazing people. They are friendly, welcoming and respectful.

So glad that this restaurant is in my neighbourhood. Can always count on fresh, affordable and delicious food from here! My favs are the chhole bhatore, thalis and the momos. Generous portions and great service as well!

Both the vegetable curry and cheese naan are a must try! Love the spice in the butter chicken 6 stars tbh

Nice food. Found this restaurant while passing through. Nice staff and accommodating. Tried veg chowmeins in lunch and veg thalidomide in dinner. Nice taste and feel like no extra artificial flavours were.mixed. Veg thali comes with any three curries of Ur choice from any mains on menu, which was great and also big two naans. Must try

One of the best indian food tried so far, its a gem on spencer street… the taste of the food is really authentic, portion is so generous, price is comparatively so reasonable and the staffs are so friendly- altogether it becomes one of the best go to place for us now.worth trying out their paratha, thalis- damn good. The aloo chop with masala tea is amazing. Super impressed!

This is by far one of (if not) the best Indian restaurants I've visited in Melbourne.reminds me of India.

Great food, value for money and warm customer service are the least to say about this awesome restaurant. This is my go-to place when I want to have a fulfilling Indian meal. Their vegetarian thali is the best which comes with two butter naans/rotis enough for one person. The best thing is consistency in the taste and quantity of the food.

Best service and the food was delicious, specifically Naan bread was perfect. Highly recommend.

Yummy Indian food. Everything on the menu is delicious (to be fair I should say vegetarian, coz that's what I tried). Priced very reasonably. I love their aloo parathas (so well stuffed) and mango lassi specially.:) Owner is very humble and always greets me personally.

I went to this restaurant with my friend and I wish I could give it 6 stars out of 5. Absolutely loved it! We ordered Hyderabadi Goat Biryani and Chicken 65 with Butter Naans. The Goat Biryani was so authentic and the pieces of mutton were so succulent and the rice was so aromatic and tasty. Probably the best Biryani I've had in recent months. The Chicken 65 was also well cooked and perfectly spiced. The portion sizes and customer service was spot on. Will be definitely coming back to try their food.

There are not too many choices in Melbourne when it comes to Indian restaurants. The secret Receipt is one of the bests among a few. With a great variety of Indian dishes what makes it special is the traditional decorations which makes the ambient so attractive you never want to leave (see photos). So if you are Indian and want to impress you Aussie friends/boy-girl friend, go for it and invite them over for a supper. If not, The secret Receipt is a great place to taste the best biryani you will never forget.

Bought takeaway biryani here today. Imho one of the best tasting ones our there. Excellent service as well. The cashier was respectful towards me.

I wish there could be a option of a negative rating. My friend Parikshith and Sachin is going to severe stomachache after having lunch from secret recipe today. Highly disappointed!

Best place to eat Indian food in Melbourne. I loved this place. We celebeated my niece bday's over dere and it was so much fun. Food was amazing.

I don't usually post reviews but I so had to for them. The food is amazing as good as North Indian vegetarian can get. If I was going to die tomorrow, I'd have my last meal here!

Called the restaurant to make customisation to my order, the guy I spoke to was very helpful and the food was awesome! The prices are amazingly justified because the taste and quality is top notch! Never disappoints!

Awesome Indian Restaurant with all delicious Indian Snacks and Food. I hosted a party for 35 people with Secret Recipe, everyone was surprised that they never visited before. Awesome arrangements, food quality, hygiene and friendly staff. If you haven't visited yet, You are really missing good food and place to visit in Melbourne.
