The Secret Recipe, Indian Fusion Restaurant reviews
41This restaurant is a must try. It's really a little gem in West Melbourne. The atmosphere is nice and quiet and a very well decorated place. The food was absolutely delicious and every dish was amazing! Butter chicken, chicken 65 and chilly chicken they are delicious. The curry is so good. The service is also nice, they were polite and attentive to details. If you want to try some really good Indian food, you must try this one!
Definitely recommend this place. Very calm atmosphere, friendly servers and quick service. Loved the vibe of the place.
Good food and warm hospitality.
Not to miss the place where you can say your second home.
Good people, nice food served with smiles.
Loved the vibe of the place. Very calm atmosphere, friendly servers and quick service. Ordered a veg thali which was everything I hoped and more. Naans were fresh and crispy. Hydrabadi biryani was delivious. Definitely recommend this place!
Service is terrible. No one serves you unless you ask to be served. We had the garlic naan, kadhai paneer, chilli momos, bhajiya and paneer paratha for 2.
Everything was good. Chilli momos were exceptional.
Omg! I don’t normally write reviews but I just have to for this one! I first gave this restaurant a go just because they had an offer on Uber eats but ended up loving it so much that I ordered so many times without offer as well and also took my friends to the restaurant to try their food out and they both loved it so much too. I grew up eating authentic Indian/Nepalese food so am not a fan of most restaurants I try in Australia just because of how much spices they put and that just over powers all the flavors in the food in an unpleasant way but can I just say, there really must be a secret recipe in this restaurant because the food is just tooooo goood! I think they have the best chicken 65 I ever had and their aloo paratha is just chefs kiss Omg sooo goood! I love all their food but this two is just so goood! I’m surely keen to try everything on their menu slowly but can’t top not ordering their aloo paratha and chicken 65 thank u fr the amazing foooood!
Biryani and mango Lassi was best in town.
Reasonable price easy access for parking
Service is great
If you around must try this place for dine in or take out.
The food was very delicious, beautiful cooked, presented and served.
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Small place but nice, clean and well presented. Food was good but not very impressed with chicken tikka and mutton biryani. Fish nuggets was testy and the sesame chutney will surely unique and must try. Very friendly staff. Nearby pay parking are there and Sunday free.
I used to order it by calling them on phone but from last few weeks due to their promotions of $8 off on Uber eats- I started ordering Uber eats but their service were completely changed…! As a customer prospective and based on their response today I would like to suggest —— pathetic service with very little approach of improvement…! Not recommended including dining as well! Pale food with lack of Indian taste as majority of dishes were copy paste…!
Nope is a great chef, he’s food is top quality. Staff are present and the atmosphere friendly. Would recommend, garlic naan is to die for!
Juicy and spiced just right momos. Chowmein was really good, a little spicy but they give you some tomato sauce with it which somehow makes it tastes even better. The Chole bhatura was just ok. The bhatura was great and fluffy and not oily but the Chole was a bit mid. And to finish off the kheer which, while I have not had many to compare with, I did enjoy tremendously. I have also tried the fried rice which I throughly enjoyed. If you love indo Chinese fried rice this is def worth trying.
Really good takeaway last night, felt the need to post a review, as good an Indian takeaway as I've had in a long time. Nice quality ingredients. Generous servings.
We were greeted by a very lovely host.
You know it's a good choice when you walk in and the smell just overwhelms you with goodness.
This place should be less of a secret for anyone who loves Indian food.
Worst butter chicken i have ever had in my entire life tasted like i am eating sugar. Ordered through uber eats near closing atleast you have done some efforts to put something else then sugar. Please don't order anything ruined my night. Spending double money on dinner as i have to order from somewhere else not even eatable.
Had Christmas Celebrations lunch for Staff, everyone loved it and Made it wonderful memorable to everyone.
Tasty food and very nice service! Definitely a great Indian restaurant where we would gladly become regulars if we move to Melbourne.
PS: the cheese naan was perfect!
Best place for lunch and dinner
Every Sunday I visit here quality never goes down always super taste n fresh food. And specially staff they all are very welcomed
Literally the best Indian I’ve had. Naan was so nice, seemed fresh and the pineer (cheese stuff idk if that’s how you spell it) was such a nice consistency, other places it’s a bit rubbery but not here. Staff was very nice
100% would recommend
Melbourne tour was really good with this restaurant specifically. Tasty Nepalese and Indian Food. Really good food with really good price on all meals. Definite 5 stars.
