The Secret Garden of Dance

I came to work with Sanushka this year seeking help with my Afro-Cuban. However after just one lesson, I discovered he offers a whole other level of coaching beyond this. Working together on musicality, performance, and mindset along with Afro-Cuban training helped me to go on and win the professional female Salsa title this year at the 2018 Australian Championships. I will be continuing my training with Sanu and team for 2019:) Highly recommended!

The secret garden of dance is a great place to learn. The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable and teach in a way unlike any other studio. Sanushka is a heavily invested teacher and the best in Melbourne for learning Afro-cuban, Rumba, Casino and wedding dance styles. The studio has a great vibe and the culture is very friendly. I would recommend this place to any of my friends

My housemate and I had a private lesson with Caroline. Despite being absolute beginners to the world of Latin dance she was extremely welcoming and made us both feel comfortable and not intimidated at all. She definitely knows her stuff, is enthusiastic, very patient and encouraging (despite me feeling like I was going to step on her feet all the time)! She packs a lot into a 1hr lesson, and if you’re wanting to explore the world of Latin dance, I could not recommend her highly enough.

Unparalleled knowledge of over 50 styles of dance, but more importantly can teach them simply & patiently to me and two left feet. At 50.

Cassie and Catherine are very experienced teachers, they both listened to our requests, our ideas and make our dance better and better! Highly recommend them to any couples who want to make their first dance amazing in their wedding.

The owner Sanushka is an excellent teacher who creates a really fun vibe which is what dancing should be all about. By far the best dance class I have ever been to. Another plus- it is well air-conditioned and never too hot. He has regular assistants who are chilled and fun and great at explaining the basics.

It was fantastic working with Sanu and the rest of team at The Secret Garden of Dance. Not only were the lessons very fun but the approach the school uses to learning accelerated my growth dramatically. I couldn't believe how fast my improvement was. This is the school to go to if you want to learn fast and accurate salsa. Highly recommended!

Sanushka was my teacher/choreographer for a routine in the Australian salsa solo competition. He is an amazing teacher and really pushed me beyond limits I never thought I could reach. He is very dedicated to his students and strives to bring out their best.

I am previous customer and learned a nice dance 5 months ago for engagement party. But this time, for wedding, I paid more but learned less. 3 different teachers across 4 classes, so the course did not go smoothly. I did not see the result I wanted.

We felt like we knew nothing when we started and by the time we finished our lessons, felt a lot more confident to pull off our first dance on the night.
