The Rye Hotel - One Four Nelson

We came to the Rye Hotel to stay 1 night for the Peninsula Hot Springs.
Price is ok. $249 a night.a bit expensive for a Hotel with no room service.

Room has space enough, well equipped and cozy. Approved

Very good location

There is no service room, or even a bottle of water in the fridge.

When you call the manager, they suggest you to drink water from the tap (I don't drink water from the Tap anywhere in the world).

In general, it's OK.
Bring water with you, snacks or anything you will need.

I called the reception and spoke to Ian, i told him the room feels uncomfortable and smokey, Ian doesnt offer anything to resolve the issue, he keeps on saying he cant do anything about it and there is no other available room.
I asked Ian what would be his suggestion but says none nor offer to get someone to check the room. Paid $754 for 2 nights and we get sleepless nights instead. What a customer experience!

A lot of golf tours use this accommodation and their reviews have been positive. Situated mainly at the back of the Rye hotel with plenty of restaurants and cafes and take away and in the middle of all the golf courses they play at. Plus the Rye hotel has meals and a bottle shop.

Looks like a great place to go Wishing everyone well in here had lots of fun just needs more compact spices especially for spices for a bust load of people which would be great on the back of the venue Otherwise great

The Rye Hotel One Four Nelson the best hotel in rye that I know off if I could give more star I would 5x Star. The place very clean spacious. Customers service warm welcoming and very helpful. We just stayed there for 2night and have the best time ever. Everything so closed to the hotel restaurant supermarket and beach just across the street. Will be going back the definitely. Love it thank you

BE AWARE PEOPLES, RYE HOTEL -One Four Nelson take your credit card deposit $100, the cleaners accused us wiping guacamole on walls & nacho crumbs on the floor, this is BS, because we never ordered guacamole, highly allergic. They never had the decency to notify us about this, cleaners never took photos & kept our deposit of $100. We found out 3wks later when checking credit card statements. Management have been absolutely rude, never returning our calls & hanging up on me, when questioning about our refund. It’s a lovely motel but this experience has made it very sour as it’s untrue. We will not be getting our refund as it’s their word against ours, I believe it’s there way of making quick bucks, as a consumer we have no rights whatsoever! There’s no independent body anyone can complain too except via this website & fb. Remember to check your credit card refund!

A great hotel which is a great location and not too expensive if you want to be close going to the Peninsula hot springs (less than 10mins drive). Our room type is a Queen Suite have car park space (but for us, it seems hard to find this hotel reception, as it broken up into 2 part…parking area, if you parked in the wrong area at first), have a fridge, kettle, microwave and a spa bath to relax too decent size and the room back access is to the pool area (although the pool seems small compare to many of the other hotel we’ve been to). And the hotel is very near a liquor shop if you want any wine or beer…

Comfortable couch, room was nice and clean. Good selection of teas.

For the middle of winter, there were nowhere near enough blankets on the bed. Even with the spare blanket from the cupboard and the heater blaring, I was freezing cold. The pillows were also terribly uncomfortable.

The light outside was also incredibly bright and the curtain did nothing to stop it shining into the room. It was almost impossible to sleep with the room lit up like a Christmas tree.

Reception opens at 8am, and there was no after hours drop box to leave the room key. Being I had to be on a ferry at 8am, I left it with an older gentleman who seemed to work there so I genuinely hope I haven’t been scammed.

Great location, affordable price and the centre of rye. 8 minutes from hot springs and about 30 minutes from main wineries.

Very noisy! A loud noise that came from the hallway, continued throughout the night kept us awake! It was probably the heating system? Generator? Terrible! We felt as if we were sleeping in a construction site! Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The food was terrible and all furniture was sticky and gross. Were we sat was extremely hot and provided us with no fresh air and which made the meal unenjoyable.

We went to check in and appreciate we were early, so had a bite to eat and returned at 1.35pm. The receptionist made no attempt to try & get our room ready earlier, so we went off for the afternoon and was assured she would contact me. No call whatsoever. Returned at 5pm, to find that we had been allocated a double room even though I specifically requested a twin for my 15 yr old daughter and I. I’m about to undergo major knee surgery so not ideal. I was told they couldn’t do anything till the next morning as management / housekeeping had now gone home. They suggested I part the existing beds and move and they would provide sheets /bedding for ME to make up our own beds or my daughter spend the night on the sofa. The receptionist was so offhand /inflexible /unreasonable expectations of me & could see I was clearly upset. I tried to checkout, wouldn’t give me a refund, call management nothing!

We resorted in staying as really had no choice and were assured housekeeping would attend to this next morning which they did. The room was good size, clean, quiet location, can’t fault that & a good pool.
They failed to tell me or have any signage that you don’t get any further housekeeping during your stay, just a black bag with replenishments dumped at your door because of covid restrictions - go figure!
The food at hotel awful. Cluggy carbonara and take my advise don’t ask for chicken with the Caesar Salad, it’s just rolled up sliced chicken roll from the deli
Wouldn’t return even though on check out they Refunded me $100 for the inconvenience

Nice and clean venue.

We enjoyed our stay here, but were awoken with a startle as our room was directly opposite the service staff's storage room. There was a little banging and chatter by enthusiastic cleaning staff outside our room at ~9AM.

Confident our experience was unique to the room we stayed in. Would still recommend others stay here.

Good accommodation with lovely pool and big rooms. Lovely staff and gorgeous sea views. Will definitely be back

This place was quite dated, some of the coffee sachets expired in 2020, there was a hair in the bed and hairs all in the tub! The restaurant was good though!

Room spacious and clean, bed comfortable, stayed for 3 nights. Fiona in reception friendly and helpful. Meals at Rye Hotel very, very nice and staff friendly. Gaming room staff attentive and friendly. Overall cannot say enough about the staff. Will definitely ho back.

Does exactly what it says on the box! Nice 3-star hotel. Very clean and neat. Bed and pillows super comfortable I was very impressed. Receptionists very pleasant. Thanks team!

Was a little disappointed with the room, especially when you payed more than you would in the centre of Melbourne, otherwise was fine.

Great location. Fab 3 star hotel restaurant and close to the beach bayside and the ocean side (back beach). Great spa and poolside.
Lovely welcoming people on reception. Bottle shop and bar and walk to restaurants
