The Royal Hotel Drouin

Never fails to be a great meal at the Royal Hotel. Service is friendly and professional. You can't go wrong.

Lovely old style hotel. It has been renovated in the past and has kept its old style charm. I have been there a few times now and really enjoy the place. The food is nice with a pretty good menu and the beer was cold. It is my favourite hotel in Drouin.

Fantastic old pub run like a proper venue in 2023 should be. We had a table of 12 in the Bistro & every dish was excellent. I couldn’t get through my enormous Bacon Fettuccini & they let me take home leftovers for my b’fast. Chocolate cake with cream & a brilliantly made espresso martini was just what I needed for dessert. Staff were superb, chatty & FUN. I’m from Sydney and gawd knows we need more places like this in Darlinghurst. If in Gippsland, eating here with a bunch of friends is a MUST. 6 stars. Thanks so much for a wonderful night x

Rooms are really clean and great value for money. Love the heater in the room on a cold night. I also had a meal in bistro and it was quite good. Definitely recommend.

Food still a great standard, but service has seriously gone downhill. When booking, I advised we had a group with various dietary requirements and was assured no problem, plenty of options. Not a single vegan meal on the menu, no vegetarian kids option (other than a bowl of veggies), so was forced to buy a 9 year old an adult vego pasta for $25. Vegan got a bowl of veg. After being delivered multiple meals we didn’t order, finally all served and food was nice. Wanted to order dessert at 808pm… nope, kitchen is closed. Probably won’t bother going back. Such a shame, it’s my local.

The food was good, the service was good. Had a little delay in trying to make the booking but was okay. We booked the function room for a meeting not an event. It was fine, but it's designed for events. It would be a great place to have a party.

The rooms were comfortable and newly renovated. Bathroom spacious. AC cold.
Food was good. Two meals pumpkin and smoked pork VG.
Worth the visit.

Foods good reasonably good bo compaints been here a few times and its always busy. It can get loud. But it never bothers us.

Ordered the only option marked vegan on the menu, the garden salad. When it came asked whether the dressing is vegan, it wasn’t.

Took my family out for dinner (x3 kids x2 adults), spent around about $250. First time dinning at this venue. Was quite disappointed, $40 rib eye was cold and a burnt burger meat pattie on my daughters burger… My wife ordered a duck curry, which had no visible duck, we complained about the duck curry dish.was it a vegetarian duck curry?
2 waitresses went to the kitchen to report the dish to the chef, …after consultation with the chef the 2 waitresses walked out of the kitchen and passed our table.no consult back to the customer or acknowledge of our complaint…
Looks like my $250 will be better spent at another establishment.

Great food and lovely service. The food was of a high standard. We had the duck curry and the porterhouse; both were of a high standard. The staff were lovely and friendly. We would definitely visit again.

Won't rush back sorry! Meals were expensive, and the parmas weren't cooked very well and bland (just my opinion).

Just had a great Lunch, every meal was great, steak, burger, risotto, and bangers and mash. Friendly service and a nice environment.

Great pub. Beautiful interior. Nice menu. Food is always great. Staff are super friendly. Raffle on a Friday night. It's a great country pub.

I've had to update my review from years ago. The Royal has turned around. By far the best pub in Drouin, or even Warragul. Great vibe, great food, great service. All round great pub, lunch, tea or a late night out.

Lovely pub and very friendly staff. Wine & food prices are good, with a wide selection of choice. My meal, battered gummy shark was delicious - a huge serve, which next time I could easily share with my partner but our 8 and 5 yr old were disappointed there were only 4 nuggets each in the kids meal.

A lovely meal. Large servings in a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very helpful & accommodating.

We didn't stay here but I'd just like to say thanks for wonderful service when I called randomly to ask if I could send a bottle of grog to our mate for his 60th Birthday.staff went out of there way to make it happen just awesome thanks to all
