The Quiet Man Irish Pub reviews
65 Great location. Parking may be hard to find during business times, but jump on the tram.
Service was really good.
Decor is right for that pub.
Prices were on par with others
Food selection is limited but it was done very well.
One of the few places that actually bring out your food hot.
I ordered the chicken Parma and it was good perfect.
The Parma was not to my liking. I did not enjoy the suace and that it had potato chips mixed in the cheese. Not just chips but actual potato chips you buy from shops.
Excellent Guinness and delicious bangers and mash. Superb Wednesday night treat. Get in make a booking for a table for you and your family. Treat yourself and the kids.
Quaint little pub, awesome big breakfast. First time for black and white pudding, ended up being a lot better than I had expected. Very nice staff, very helpful. Only complaint would be that they need better seating, maybe more booth's.
Great food, with extremely generous portions. We have visited here on a couple of Sunday lunchtimes, never disappoints. Also, it is nice to hear authentic Irish accents.
Friendly service and a fun atmosphere. Food was good and plentiful and there was also Irish dancing
Decor is nice. Patrons were nice.
Seemed the bartender did not want to serve us though.
Great pub. Excellent food and lovely staff. Been going there for 20 years and never disappointed.
This place is far from ‘quiet’. Pretty rough crowd. Bad experience the first time around but still decided to give it another go. Still awful.
I get the feeling if you’re not in the inner circle of their regulars, they don’t want to know you.
If you want a friendly and decent Irish pub, check out the Last Jar.
*Update 2021
I was here 4 year's ago and I left a comment saying Great Irish Breakfast It Cures Homesickness, well since I was back the breakfast has got so much better omg it was lovely so breakfast only runs from Friday to Saturday from 12pm honestly it's a great spot to eat really enjoyable. *5 Stars from me.
Went in for the Parma and Pot deal for $20 and was not disappointed. Took a while to come out but the Parma was baked to perfection and a decent size, with a healthy serve of salad and chips. The place itself has a relaxed atmosphere and the waiter was very friendly and accommodating.
Great place. Lovely pub grub with a beautiful Irish touch. Extensive menu for Melbourne's cold night. The pie is superb. Big meals so dont eat / snack before you arrive.
Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Had a large party in there tonight and it felt like home!
Have been going to The Quiet Man since the 90s and it's always a guaranteed experience. Today I had a Sunday roast and it was hands down THE most satisfying I've had for a long time. Washed down with some fine tap beer, it was a very enjoyable Sunday lunch.
Staff have been amazing both times we've been there, food is delicious and with pints of Kilkenny to wash it down you can't go wrong!
Food really good for me, lamb shanks were tasty, my friend's barramundi very disappointing, dry, tiny portion looked very unappealing. The other two meals were reasonable. I would stick to ordering what they do well, Irish cuisine. Service was great to begin with, however no one came to us after when it was close to 9pm. To ask if we would like desserts and coffee. So we missed out.
Not usually a reviewer, and always keen to give a second chance, but ordered steak at forty bucks a pop that was well beyond overcooked when I asked for medium, again. This is the second dining experience with the same result. No criticism of FOH staff, but the chef team can’t do steak and they have no business charging forty bucks for it. There is literally no point in asking for anything less than extremely well done. Not the fault of the meat, either, to be sure. Stick to pub standards.
The real deal, like being in Ireland. Awesome food, great drinks selection and friendly staff. In pictures, sizzler beef, chicken parma, Jameson chicken and Nraised cheek respectively. All delicious, my favourite is the sizzler. Sunday roast is quite the feast. Highly recommended, make sure to get there hungry and thirsty. Slainté!
This is where I proposed to my boo.what more can I say, fabulous, warm place, lots of gorgeous Irish folk around, what's not to like!
I loved it from the moment I walked in and left. Great friendly staff, setting was great and though I had to choose plan b for my meal selection l still was happy. It was my first time and it won't be the last. Thanks ️
Amazing meals, excellent service and perfect pints of Guinness, what more could we ask for?
We shall definitely be back!
