75 Super poor service, the one staff member serving meals was trying hard, but hard up against it, the kitchen forgot 1/2 the tables meals.
Hopefully one day we will have a positive experience here, but I am not holding my breath
The meals at the restaurant are huge, delicious and fresh. The young lady that greeted us was a tad too abrupt but apart from that, the restaurant is great….
Terrible customer service, terrible food, rude staff, never ever going there again!
What a waste of my time & money
A fantastic venue, this is definitely one of the local places I would recommend you to pop in to when you're next passing thru Point. So many good points to mention:
• opening hours from 7am thru to 3am makes it such an easy to access venue
• a large carpark which is never totally filled up, & laid out in such a way you will never have to walk far to get to the entrance
• a bistro with a large dining area, that serves up a drool worthy menu that is very reasonably priced
• a pokies area of a more intimate feel with around 50 or so machines (just my estimate, not actual numbers) that on nights when it is busier still always has a easy going feel to it
• a TAB that on weekends has its own menu smaller than the menu of the bistro, so you can keep punting whilst still getting a feed.
• a drive thru bottle shop (but please always remember don't drink & drive!)
• security & bar staff who always are friendly & happy, you're guaranteed to be greeted with a smile, or even a good joke if the right people happen to be on shift at the time
If this doesn't convince you that this is worth putting on your list of places to visit then i don't know what will. Need I say more or have I convinced you enough that you have already begun to get ready to head on over? Seriously, do yourself a favour & visit!
** This is not a paid comment I swear. I know it sounds like it could be, but it isn't. Everything I have said is the truth, & just my honest opinion - & maybe I'm also in a good mood as I walked out from there a few hours ago with more than I walked in with too!
Very disappointing what a shame that once was an amazing venue we could do parties.come out with our friends during the week or weekend food choices was more.garden outside was so inviting now everything looks dead.in & out.what's with the decor omg looks like a dump we took our friends there for dinner l was so embarrassed. Need to pick up the way it used to be ruined under good dedicated people.
Never coming again till l here its changed.
Great service, great food, pitty owners aren't keen to put on live music in garden area is a shame, hopefully they change their minds soon, venue could be use so well
New owners.sports bar is closed? Menu options were very basic and limited. Took over an hour to get our food the place was 80% empty.
The food was pretty average especially lasagne tasted and looked like it was a frozen one from the supermarket. The 1 star was because the staff were nice. We won't be back anytime soon which is a shame as previously we had enjoyed many a meal here.
Ordered 1 entree and 4 mains. Waited 45 minutes before asking where the food was and got our four mains 10 minutes later. No entree served and med rare steak was served cold enough that the garlic butter didn’t melt. Then the manager told me I wouldn’t get food poisoning from a cold steak. They got 1 star for the beer.
Went to the Phoenix hotel with my family to celebrate my 50th Birthday
and the meals were cooked to perfection. Staff were lovely and the atmosphere great. Thankyou Phoenix hotel for an amazing birthday dinner.
My wife and I had a seniors meal.
Would have been only 15 tables occupied including outdoor.
Meals were sumptuous and I feel excellent value for money.
Drinks reasonably priced also.
Would recommend
First time back since lockdowns. Slapped in the face with no table service and a very basic menu. The food was fine but uninspired. Not sure if we want to come back. What a shame because we used to call this our go to pub
Nice place, place can get busy and thus a bit noisy, but otherwise ok. Food wasn't bad and prices are average
It's great to be out again. And here's to many a fine CUB draught beer. Hadn't had a Melbourne bitter since I was ateenager, and you know what. Probably won't have another one for a while too.
Omg best steak I've had in a long time was perfectly cooked and to top it off lovely staff. Thank you for a great evening.
It is so great to be back here after almost a year due to the restrictions. The staff were as friendly as they have always been, the food amazing!
The only thing that was lacking was the table service, it is a shame that the hotel’s management has decided to stop table service. In my opinion table service is part of the charm of going out to dinner I’m your local hotel. I hope you bring table service back, I have to add that this stopped me from spending as I did not want to line up to get more drinks. I hope management reconsiders this so that we keep coming back to this great location.
I'm not a great parma eater but did order here on recommendation. Just about the best ever. We travelled to get here and it was well worth it.
Poor small meals for price & service is long and shocking, chicken is not elderly friendly a butter knife to cut it, had to use my steak knife to cut my mothers snitzel & since when do you get your starter after your main meal, and also depends on who you are, our group wasnt aloud to sit near each other due to covid restrictions 10 per table, but a group of 9 adults and 7 kids was aloud to be so it depends on who you are
Good facilities. Although, I was really disappointed by my Parma! It had no flavour whatsoever and we were waiting a bit fir the staff to be served. But good sized meals and also has a little playground for kids
Service was friendly and quick. Food was good and portions are large. Its a shame under new managemet no doggie bagstakeaway options are provided.
The wait staff were wonderful. The food is really good but when the chef is told that a meal needs to be gluten free for a coeliac disease person, he should listen. I suffered with a bad reaction later that night. Again I stress that the wait staff did everything correctly. I was refunded the cost of my meal which I ate a little of before becoming suspicious of one ingredient and asked them to check. Yes, it contained gluten.
