The Pancake Kitchen reviews
43The pancakes were scrumptious. Better than the pancake parlour chains found in Melbourne. Place was very busy when everywhere else was quiet.
I know someone who is about to start working there and we might be starting a band dikosljihermn, fl;kjnfhbdk
I always visit The Pancake Kitchen when I’m in Ballarat. Their meals are reasonably priced and the service is fast and friendly. A great place to take the family.
Book for New Years dinner. Place took my booking however they were closed for the dinner service. No phone call or email to apologise. Very unprofessional
Excellent service and this is such a rare thing in Australia- it is usually my way or highway.
Food is so good, loved the pancakes, farmer’s breakfast is best and good enough for giant like me. Kids loved the hot chocolate.
Alhumdulilah. Good job
Needs work… we were a fairly big group, 4 kids of various ages… (none of them mine) … was pretty weird- and disappointing that the kids were served last! Both food and drink. Perhaps the kitchen is far enough away to not hear kids screaming.or perhaps the staff are too young to realise that young kids especially are going to arc up if everyone else is eating - or even having food sitting there they can’t touch.
Was charged $30.40 for country b’fast and small coffee, can only guess I was charged for a mug. City PP’s charge $5.50 for mugs.
Understaffed, but isn’t everyone at the moment.
Mushrooms were great.
Might ask for my scrambled eggs to be over easy next time
Excellent food and customer service - they really made us feel welcome and really looked after throughout our visit particularly with our 3 yr old. The food also seemed to be a lot tastier than the Pancake Parlour back in Melbourne.
Fantastic all day breakfast and some pretty interesting pancake based main dishes as well. The food is great, but definitely not healthy. Lots of butter and sugar and fat all around. But delicious. Something to have every once in a while, unless you want to pack on a lot of very unhealthy weight. The service is very friendly, but the dishes take a while to get to you. I suppose that’s why they’re so delicious. The place itself is a great cosy, pub like building. Must be especially cost in Winter, we went during a summer heatwave. Open all the time as well. Definitely recommend.
This has always been a favourite of mine. Great coffee, great food and wonderful old world charm. The ground floor open fire in a chimney, is a cosy godsend during a cold Ballarat winter. Unfortunately the flight of stairs to the toilet area on 2nd level is its one downside, making it impossible for the wheel chair bound clients or those physically compromised to use it.
I’m so disappointed, I’ve been here on several previous occasions & had beautiful food & coffee. Today’s experience was totally opposite, a chair at the table was sticky & unclean, the wait time & service was terrible, we even had to ask after our drink order due to the wait time.
Our food arrived cold, one meal was totally wrong, one arrived messy.
And bring a jacket because it’s freezing in here with the front door stuck open
The service was very slow and my partners eggs and bacon on his meal were cold by the time he received them. Very disappointed.
Love this place, a short drive to Ballarat once a week to enjoy our usual meal is no too much to ask.
My family went here for tea last week. We all had a wonderful night. The food was great and the staff were lovely. We will be back for more yummy pancakes in the not too distant future.
Over priced for under cooked bland, floury regular size of a pancake, not worth $10 a pancake, strawberries tasted frozen, and not great over $110 and non of us were full and just overall terrible,
The customer service was lovely! Shoutout to the girl who served me and my father (youre sweet as)
and, pancakes tasted really good!
Lovely service.
Friendly stuff.
Nice and cosy inside.
Heating great.
Food cooked well.
You'd have to be a moron to go here. The prices are so expensive I initially thought it was in a different currency. They are mocking you. The place only suits simpletons.
Loved the building its in, loved the decor, great menu, great food and the girl who served us was terrific. Very friendly and happy personality with a good sense of humour and the ability to up sell. Could not fault this place. Great job Pancake Kitchen Ballarat. Five stars.
We had a group breakfast on new year's Day. We were surprised to see that they were open so early. We were well looked after by the staff. Linda was fantastic to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The food was good and had a good variety so our Vegan friend only could join us for breakfast.
