The Pancake Kitchen reviews
43I love the pancake kitchen and have come here a few times, the restaurant has a very vintage and homely feeling with wooden interior, booths and stained glass. The food is regularly very good but it is very overpriced, I think $27 for 2 pancakes and some fruit/sauce is a bit ridiculous. I only wish they would reduce the price to make it more affordable. Otherwise would recommend.
My biggest complaint would be the price for what you actually get, everything just seems over priced. Lunch menu at $15 is much better value so recommend going between 11-3pm
Thank You for great service, great food and a delicious Swiss shake.
Can never fault the quality of food served. Lovely!
Dropped in for a coffee and there are virtually no snacks on the menu. Food was fine though. Don't come here if disabled or have mobility issues. 30+ stairs to get to the toilets.
If you after great pancakes, quick service and good cost, look somewhere else. Pancakes are ordinary unless its a speciality pancake, each time the kitchen takes upto 40 minutes.
This was hands down the best eating out experience we've had in years! We had spent a long day at Kryal Castle, the kids were revved up and we were exhausted We didn't book and it was a Saturday night but we were welcomed with open arms and huge smiles. Every staff member went above and beyond for us. The kids were given colouring in pictures and crayons. The staff got the kids drinks and food together instantly for us while the adults took a little longer to decide. We were looked after very very well the whole time we were there and the meals were huge and to die for! Wouldn't hesitate to eat there again and again and recommend to everyone! 10/10
My daughter and I enjoyed the Blueberry Pancake with scrambled eggs and bacon. Certainly couldn't complain about the meal. However, we returned a few days later with three more family members. I had the Barramundi and potatoe pancake with salad. The serve of the fish was enormous and extremely delicious. Just a word of warning, if your child asks for "hash browns" be aware, they are not like normal hash browns, I fact they are grated potatoe fried in a lot of oil and when presented on your plate, it is a black mass. Did not look very nice at all and as for taste forget it.
Servers were great, unfortunately the eggs Benedict was awful! The hollandaise sauce was almost inedible it had sooo much lemon juice! My husband’s meal was missing something and pancake almost burnt. Bit of a shame. Kids were happy at least.
I am totally ashamed of how i was treated today by some girl with coloured hair telling us to get out of the shop because we had an opinion.
From the time we arrived till we lft u screwed up all of our orders. Your excuse was your busy but sorry that's no excuse to get it all wrong and u didn't like me complaining so u told me to get out. SHAME ON YOU YOUR A DISGRACE
I had a lovely experience. I ordered Mexican Beef crepes and a hot fudge sundae. The beef crepes were really wonderful.
Typical pancake parlour. The staff were friendly and courteous, the food was good and served quickly. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Atmosphere was a bit lacking but may have been due to a slow day.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered food delivered. $31.90 for the Parma and $22.90 for deluxe fries. Food arrived and the Parma is 1/3 the size of my hand it’s practically a chicken tender, there was no pancake underneath and the fries were also a small serve. Paying $30+ for a kids meal. I called to advise food was missing and was told that they would not refund me even though I said I was happy to give the food back as they had not given me what I ordered. Was told contact the delivery service even though it was the restaurants fault. It’s a shame you can’t add photos here but DO NOT ORDER from this restaurant if you actually want a proper sized meal. The owner said they refuse to refund because the size of their chicken is their new sizing and is standard now. Even though it used to be a full chicken breast and their image and price has not changed.
Amazing place. My oh my how it stretches so high! Tasty food and perfect pancakes. Only problem is left feeling sticky, on my fingers, clothes and mouth. They must spray maple syrup everywhere.
Wanted the steak medium rare and it was practically still alive was defiantly still raw, they took it back and re cooked it and was practically burnt.
My friend visits every so often from interstate and always insists we have to eat here. The portion sizes are good.
Came to gave pancakes at 9pm but turned away. The website and door say it closes at 10pm. Apparently the
time is updated on Facebook.
The cheese and bacon pancake was really nice. It was a little disappointing that my 3yo grand daughters extremely simple bowl of ice-cream couldn't be delivered before the adults much more complex meals. Nothing said to indicate why. I don't get that.
Was a lovely experience, I forgot to ask our servers names (yes plural) but they were fantastic. Nothing was too hard and we were a group of 10. Did was delicious too, will definately be coming back xx
The young girls serving were way above average great personalities very helpful and the food (great) the manager was also very friendly. I will return soon. I recommend that you try it. Cheers Jeff
I like the food it's nice, but never order the "hashbrowns" it's just shredded up potato, defiantly not a snack, more of a topping. So if your into that go for it but it felt misleading at the time. I reccomend the cottage frys and crapes.
