The Nixon Hotel

Although the place has a nice ambience setup I was very disappointed with their food quality and hospitality. The Parma I ordered was very dry and do not have enough sauce. Further to that we had to order a mushroom sauce which was a bonus disaster:) However, it’s good for a beer and live music in Fridays.

Ambience and service was good but we ordered for a draught and got different one from the tap. Response was not very clear or convincing. Food was fine

Went for the $25.00 steak on Monday night. Was spot on. We shared it with 2 sides and was more than enough food for 1 person.

There are many TVs with sport on. I'm not that in to sports myself but there are many places to sit if you aren't interested. There is a large range of beers on offer. The service is quick and friendly. The food is very good value for the portion size and the quality doesn't suffer.

Ahh- The Nixon Hotel. Love the Carlton Tank beer they serve there. Go out of my way to visit whenever I'm in Melbourne. Had a couple of starters and a meal before heading over to see Collingwood FC play at Marvel Stadium. Highly recommended.

Would have left 0 stars if it was possible. We came to Nixon's for drinks and food. Ordered two main dishes to share. Our waiter misheard us and arrived with 3. Unfortunately the staff at Nixon never heard of customer service and decided to try to bully us into paying for a dish we never ordered. It completely ruined our dinner experience. We will never return!

Very LOUD and hard to hear the person sitting next to you but the gnocchi with pumpkin was oh so delicious. Soft potato pillows drizzled with butter and sage. Mmm, yum.

Helpful staff. Well stocked bar and I liked the pub food. They really need to clean their outdoor tables though. Touch the wrong place on the table while trying to shift the tables and you will come away with your hand coated in webs and dust.

We had lunch at The Nixon Hotel on the 22nd December. The meals were impressive! Hats off to the staff who served us. They were friendly and attentive. Although the place was crowded, the service was terrific. The chef made the meals to a high standard. With a wide range of options on the menu, we will return to the Nixon hotel again.

Went for drinks at The Nixon on 5/11/21, what a lovely venue and it had such a great vibe. The courtyard and outside space were great, I even got some pet therapy while there:). Next time we'll stay for dinner.

The day manager is the best publican I've had in 30years of being in pubs. She has banter, experience & most of all knows her clients.

One of the best people at the pub in these C19 times. Always wearing ppe etc.love this place.

I had the Lamb Freekeh Salad it was bland and tasteless
Service was ordinary
We were forced to order in advance as we were a group
Only to find out there were specials where you got a complimentary drink if we’d just shown up and ordered

So not only was the food below par it was a rip off
Will never go again
Much better options in the area so why bother

A Docklands institution, a classic pub with great beer and fast service. Dave the publican is also a legend.

Nice place to grab a drink with friends, good vibe seating and service a little pricey and some of the food is so-so

Fantastic place to meet your mates before a game for an awesome feed and a cold beer before the game.

Great place for a drink and good pub meal.
The staff are all happy and obviously enjoy their work environment.
Trivia nights are great fun.

The staff were lovely, even putting the big screen down to watch my team in the NRL
