I recently had a boudoir photo shoot done with Jude at The Melbourne Portrait Studio which was a wonderful luxurious empowering experience. There are many reasons for a woman wanting to do a boudoir photo shoot the celebration of womanhood is a personal, intimate and liberating experience and Jude is expert in capturing those fun, cheeky, sensual and classy poses that convey the essence of being a woman. Right from when I booked Jude was in touch with me discussing the kind of photos that I wanted and my expectations. So by the time I arrived for the actual shoot I felt that we already had a good understanding which elevated some of my nerves. Jude is very mindful of boundaries and so at no time did i ever feel uncomfortable and she let me be the driver of where I wanted the shoot to go. On arrival Mimma did a wonderful job on my hair and makeup the pampering makes you feel beautiful before you even start with the photos. The actual photo shoot was relaxed, Jude is open to suggestions because ultimately whilst she will guide, she wants you to feel empowered. The final result is a collection of photos which I am so proud of, Would I do it again? Absolutely in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

After Melbourne's long lockdown last year, we were wanting something nice to treat ourselves, as well as to capture our recent baby arrival. We knew of Jude's work though her lockdown publication "Together Apart", and decided to support a local business.
From the moment we booked, Jude was professional, polite and simply lovely. She called each of us for a brief chat to understand what we were after and to learn a little bit about us. On the day, we arrived and were shown to the studio. Refreshments were made available, and Jude got straight into work. She managed to keep my wife and I, as well as our 4yo and 9mo kids entertained, smiling and responsive to her lens.
She managed to capture so many amazing photos in such a short amount of time.it made for some very tough decisions when it came time to narrow them down!
Our home is now filled with happy memories - gorgeous portraits of our family, displayed in a professional and unique way. They have taken prime position in the lounge room and throughout the house, making us smile and say "Awww. " every time we walk past them.

Jude is a warm, skilful professional who understands how to relax her subjects, to understand what is needed in a session or assignment and how to best capture the essence of those she photographs.

She is able to work with small, large and complex groups (and even animals), and (importantly) understands that to capture the best images, her subjects require her rapport and empathy. When bringing our extended family for a session she was able to accomodate a range of diverse needs and help everyone be comfortable and have a positive experience. Not only that, but the photographs were perfect too.
