The Lactic Factory / Abbotsford Northside Boulders reviews
35I love this gym soo much! The staff are soo friendly and the sets are some of the best in melbourne. Some of the holds can get really dirty really quickly since they’re the oldest bouldering gym in melbourne. Also please make some lactic factory merch
Similar pricing compared to other nearby locations that have much more options and amenities available. Overall feels like less value
Absolutely great, good vibes, lots of fun and really good workout without really knowing. I did feel it the day after though
Hands down my favourite place to train. Yes it's small, yes the problems are hard but that's what I love about it. It's the perfect level of challenging The music is by far the best out of all the gyms. You don't have to run around a big area because all the problems are there Infront of you. Also the best vibe.
Really good bouldering place, friendly staff and customers. Great diversity of difficulty, coffee, microwave and little chill area with some stuff to practice yoga or exercises!
I will be back
Nice small gym, lots of slightly over hung climbs so good for your intermediate-advanced climbers. Great vibes and always friendly people. Bring your good vibes
Small and intimate, friendly staff, great problems. Have a small gym as well. Love coming here!
Awesome bouldering gym for beginners and experienced climbers! Super nice folks, reasonably priced, and great problems.
It's small, so plenty of people choose other gyms over this one, but it's still my favourite place to boulder.
Good for climbing. Northside Brunswick is better, but this is the original one so it's got mad cultural capital.
Great place to go climbing, nice people good for the medium to high level of indoor climbing, I wish it would be a bit bigger because then it gets too crowded
Awesome place, great staff and they have coffee and snacks. If you just want to chill it's great too.
This place is the best. It has a 'leave your ego at the door' type of vibe. Which i feel a lot of the new boudering gyms in Melbourne lack.
If you're looking for a gym that's going to challenge you in all right ways without having to compete with the crowds then i definitely recommend checking it out!
Very friendly staff, comfortable with nice music. Great problems, and even better community.
I accidentally turned up an hour early on a sunday and was let in, even though the staff member was still setting up. Definetly recommend
Heaps of routes.
Mobility and stretching area out the back.
Kitchen area out the back also.
Has a few chill out areas around the place.
Strong sense of community with the other climbers.
Seems that you would want to pay a membership if you were to attend regularly.
Its very friendly, good music and good atmosphere but I think it's not so good for beginners because a lot of the holds even on the ''easy' routes require a lot of finger strength so it's hard to even get started. I think it would be great if I was just better
The go to place for bouldering in Melbourne. Super friendly and inclusive for those new to the scene.
Melbourne's original bouldering gym! Lactic factory is now considered a small gym but has a great friendly atmosphere and always seems to attract Melbourne's best climbers.
Ideal lo-fi, cosier alternative to its bigger siblings and other alternatives in the area. Step foot inside and on your right will be a wall dense with holds with which to manufacture lactic. Library in the corner if you need a mental workout.
Fun and adventurous place to go in a good location. Lots of variety and challenge with helpful staff and reasonable prices.
Parking is tricky in the area without some luck, so take public transport if possible. Could also do with some better ventilation, perhaps some fans?
