The Jam Factory reviews
49Undergoing some changes to accommodate a new train system for Melbourne but still don't overlook this iconic movie complex
Best Jam this side of Australia, seriously good Jam, try it on toast in the morning, the huckleberry is probably my favourite
A bit of a trashy bog hole with the cinemas as the main port of call. But you can get much nicer ones any other part of Melbourne.
We went to see a 3D movie, and while everything about the movie experience was great, the tickets were extremely expensive.
The jam factory which has been a notorious institution for Melbourne's inner city suburb resident has boasted many forms and incarnations over the years, FROM cigar shops, pancake parlours, TGI Friday's, Target Home, back in the day, local markets, but the once factory now offers a quieter experience with Village Cinemas and gold class upstairs and remaining downstairs Tennant's, a food court (tucked away from the main hustle and bustle of Chapel St) - my choosing the lower star rating f9r this review is mainly because the golden era to this hub ended 5 or so years ago.the busiest outlet is Boost Juice (located just on the outside near the main entrance) which attracts a lot of business and the newest Tennant on the Toorak road facing side, Soda Rock Cafe (be sure to visit)
it's also worth a note that the Jam Factory is scheduled for a complete development which will (from listed signage inside) close the main current day used space, transforming what was into a apartment/office and se business space.
RIP Jam Factory.
Tired and worn out the jam factory stores dont put in much effort any more.really needs more attention and a rethink.
Could the disabled bathroom be any further from the front door or harder to find
I have issues.
When I need to pee
I NEED TO PEE
I can’t send a search party for ️
And I make a turtle look fast
Help out the retards.
It is kind of sad that the Jam Factory is at its current status. 1x years ago the Jam Factory was a lot more interesting, ie there was a RC carsb race track etc there. Now it is just plain boring and just sad.
Came here with the bf to watch aquaman. Not your usual metro cinema however they do accept Village cinema vouchers. It has family friendly eateries and restaurants to eat at before going to the movies. Easy to navigate and find. Plenty of parking on the streets and their gold class lounge is very fancy to have pre drinks before the film.
Such a great space for meetings, quick eats, and relaxing while you wait for someone. Wifi access and comfortable seating throughout.
The guy at the ticket booth was a very helpful young man and he showed me how I could by being a village member (which I have been for about 10 years!) Didnt even know you could get a discount! Nice theater rooms, good space and clean. Good place to go, and the car park is always handy!
Rude staff members, bad tasting sweet fries on the side. Other Rolld store at Chadstone is better.
Been going for years, definitely has changed a lot over the years, I remember when the ground floor had more then just 4-6 food Venus and had a gaming arcade, awesome free internet with no limits, I used to spend everyday after school here (for the Internet) now it is just a shell of it's former place, Still have good food and movies it just feels empty, the burritos tho.if you have not gone then you are missing out big time
This part of Melbourne is still beautiful and inspiring. Some amazing cafes and bars/restaurants worth checking out if you happen to go there
I really like what they've done with the place over the years. Design is pretty modern with a variety of different eat out options available at the food court near the main entrance on Chapel. There are great healthy options too. The cinemas here are great, had a great experience watching Crazy Rich Asians with my work mates. The facility is pretty clean but I find it oddly spacious and empty.
Found parking with ease and ideal spot to take the kids to see a movie. Cinemas comfortable and right beside TGI Friday's (the kids love eating there). I like it here as it tends to be or feel quieter than other cinemas. Multi level car park at the back. Plenty of other places to explore along Chapel St stop while you are there.
Sad to see a once thriving shopping hub reduced to a ghost town. Village cinemas is the only sign of life
Love going out to dinner at TgiFridays then going to the movies afterwards here! Great place to take friends, a date, or go by yourself!
The food was fine; but they didn't bring water, wrong fries and then they took 20 min having to ask again.
Some nice quiet movie theater in the middle of a busy streat. I take kids there on occasion to see a new movie and they absolutely love it every time.
