The Ivory Elsternwick

My husband and I scouted a few reception venues before we finally decided on The Ivory. The venue itself was elegant, simple and classic and was exactly what we were looking for! Shout out to our wedding coordinator, Katie, who helped us along the process of wedding planning as the days came closer and was so patient with us!

The venue needs an update. The same dusty center pieces. The food is in edible. I don't know who is in charge of food, but prison food would be better. No air flow and warm drinks.

Was here for a wedding and the staff were amazing and the venue was nicely decorated. The food however was just okay.nothing too flash.

We had our amazing wedding here in August 2022 - WOW! What a night. Our wedding is still being spoken about and what a fantastic night it was amongst family and friends. The process from start to the last minute of the wedding night was a dream. Communication was amazing so everyone was always on the same page, this made things stress free and the process fun. I can recommend this venue enough for your special night. Thank you Katie, the team and the Ivory.

We had our wedding in the Ivory in June 2022. What a great experience. Everything was flawless, the staff were amazing and the drinks kept flowing!

Every single guest said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. For ourselves, we could not think of anything that could have gone better on the night. The venue looked amazing and we didn't have to do a single thing to it - one less thing to worry about!

We had our wedding here recently, really great wedding, attentive staff and were super friendly. Food was on point and every detail planned to perfection. Have done a nice job with the venue would highly recommend Jen and Katie to get the job done!

Good place to have a large function of up to 250 people.convenient parking on the front street, bar and small rooms inside, attentive staff and good food.would visit someone else's function again.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get married at The Ivory in November 2021 just as Covid restrictions were easing after what was a difficult year.

After our first visit to the venue we knew this was the one - it has the perfect mix between modern and romantic elegance and the beautiful courtyard was an added bonus as this meant we didn't have to have the ceremony at a different location to the reception.

The Ivory has a generous main reception room with a large dancefloor along with ample space in the foyer allowing for our wonderful vendors such as the photobooth and ice cream cart to serve our guests. Although we opted for our own decor, it was lovely to see the venue hire had a lot of great inclusions as standard.

We were also very happy with Jennifer as our co-ordinator who was very helpful and answered our millions of questions and provided comfort and flexibility in a time of uncertainty.

Thanks to The Ivory and the team for making our day so memorable and ensuring things ran as smoothly as they did.

After 4 postponements (due to COVID), my now husband and I had our dream wedding at The Ivory in May 2022. We honestly could not fault a single thing. The whole planning process was so smooth, even whilst changing dates around several times, which is a credit to their fantastic events team. We couldn't recommend them highly enough. Thank you for a day we will never forget!

We had a great wedding at the Ivory. First, Jennifer, our coordinator was really helpful for our first planning meeting right up until the night itself - including being very accommodating with a number of changes that we needed due to recent restrictions. The venue itself is gorgeous, and the grand piano that the band keyboard player could play during canapés was a really nice touch as well. Also, we had nothing but huge compliments from all our guests on the food and wait staff, who were all so friendly and professional. We definitely recommend The Ivory for anyone thinking of a wedding venue.

Beautiful place, perfect wedding. The food was amazing. Staff are discreet and super efficient. Highly recommended for a special event.

We couldn't have asked for a better night. Not knowing what to expect, but what a wonderful time and night it turned out to be.

The venue itself is beautiful, the inclusions are great such as bridal table flowers if you want to save, or choose your own design like we did for the bridal table and keep the guests table flowers. Some things we loved was no hidden costs such as corkage fees or cake cutting fees. We had 200 guests and felt that space was perfect. Not too small but cosy and intimate while guests had plenty of space in the foyer to enjoy as well. Going to some other venues, we liked that the ivory looked new and not rundown like some others we visited. The bridal room was pretty and great size, even the toilets had plenty of amenities.
Ceremony area is awesome and convenient.

Jennifer did her best to help us and was always accommodating and flexible for changes, dietary requirements and all vendors and suppliers were organised so well, I did not have anyone asking me what's going on. She kept us updated and in the loop all the time, answered all questions obviously being our first time getting married, and suggested recommendations etc.

We had a live band and it really brought the night alive. The lighting in the reception creates a lovely ambience aswell.

We were lucky to not have to change our dates at all so all in all, everything worked out for us.

What a sensational venue! The first venue we visited and immediately locked them in. The Ivory have amazing staff- genuine, accomodating and easy going (plus so many inclusions it took away the stress of any external planning and thats exactly what eases any bride). Our wedding night ran amazingly because of the staff and so many of our guests complimented us at how welcoming they were. The food was so good and they ensured every single person was well taken care off. They were flexible with every request and accommodated all our changes which looking back just shows how smoothly our wedding night went. Highly recommend The Ivory if you want an amazing wedding dance party:)

We were fortunate to get married in March 2021. This meant our entire wedding was planned in 2020 lockdown!

We just wanted to express our deepest thanks to The Ivory Elsternwick and Refresh Hospitality and all the staff who worked on the evening of March 27th 2021. We found the entire process from initial meeting, communication through the pandemic, payment, schedule/ timeline for the night and the events of the night so easy. All staff were so professional, accommodating and easy to communicate with.

The minute we walked into the room, we were absolutely breath taken by how beautifully the room had come together. All of our guests raved about our reception, the food and how accommodating the staff were, particularly for those who had dietary requirements.

We feel so very blessed to have chosen The Ivory Elsternwick for our wedding reception. The inclusions, the food, the cocktails and the staff we all such a special part of our day. It felt like ‘us’ and everything we had planned and pictured came to life so easily and so beautifully.

Special thanks to Claire for all your time, advice and chats during the pandemic and the stress of 2020. Thanks for all your time. Also to the 2 main staff members who worked on the night.

Your reception, the decorations and all the inclusions are wonderful additions to any special day. We are so grateful to you all for making our special day simply perfect.

Claire was amazing to work with and we appreciated her ongoing communication with us every step of the way, even when things were so unclear to all of us due to COVID.

The Ivory were very understanding, cooperative and just lovely to talk to throughout very hard and uncertain times for us. In the end, despite a snap 5day lockdown on the week of our wedding which was only lifted 3 days prior to our wedding date, we were still able to go ahead and have the day we’d planned. It was a beautiful set up and we considered it a blessing to have had our wedding at The Ivory.

I work at a school that had organised to have their formal at The Ivory in 2020. Unfortunately we were unable to due to lockdown. Thankfully, The Ivory allowed for us to postpone our booking for a date in 2021 as we were able to have this year's formal.

The staff were extremely helpful prior to the event as well as the night of. They went above and beyond to make sure it was a great event for all involved. The students and staff had great comments about the food, the setting, and the staff.

Thank you to James and the Ivory for hosting our special day! They had everything we needed and all the things we didn't think of! The waitstaff were attentive and the manager on the night ensured we had everything we needed. The event manager in the lead up walked us through everything step by step. We're not great planners ourselves but their process made it super simple and helped us decide how we wanted the wedding to run (what to include and when). They also had some great suggestions for suppliers.
On top of all of this, they were beyond supportive and understanding during COVID and our change of date.

We had our wedding at The Ivory Elsternwick on March 12th 2021. Although Covid made everything very crazy this year, we managed to move dates and get married with ease. I want to also say a big thank you to Claire and Jen, as they both looked after us through our journey and on the night. They were always attentive and looking out for us. The wait staff were incredible too! Nothing was ever too hard and every request was dealt with promptly and in a professional manner. The food was also very tasty! We really couldn't have asked for anything better. The room was set up beautifully and everything was in place. THANK YOU!

We had to have a last minute venue switch for the wedding celebration and it was lucky we were introduced to James and The Ivory was available. It is an incredible place with fantastic facilities and we felt so comfortable there on a very hot day. We only had a couple of days between the booking and the actual party to sort out all the details, however James' excellent communication skills made it very easy for us. Great experience overall.
