The Inlet Hotel reviews
57Family of 4 went there for dinner on Friday night (Grand Final Eve) and it was understandably busy. The staff were pleasant and the service was quick. My son and I had the $28 Chicken Parma's which were just OK, definitely nothing special. The salads that came with them were pretty ordinary, as were the chips. My wife had the Surf & Turf, again nothing special, especially for $38. My daughter had the $34 Lamb Rack which she liked. All in all nothing very remarkable, just basic meals which I thought didn't justify the prices charged. If I was back in Inverloch when it wasn't so busy that we had to take whatever was available, I would try the other hotel.
Delicious schnitzel, friendly staff and loved having the option of the courtesy bus after too many wines!
D9 t jave tge seafood starter plate for two @$52.00 ut was grossly over priced for what it was and prawns were overcooked
Second time we’ve been here and it’s the second time we’ve had to wait over 40 minutes for dinner
Absolute class place for a beer and a feed. John was fantastic and very accommodating. If I’m Inverloch I highly recommend.
Meals were the stars tonight, deserts however were a bit average but still good.
The staff were all wonderful, the lady who welcomed us was so friendly and warm, a great experience. Definitely will return.
Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Meals a little disappointing. My steak was a bit burnt on the outside otherwise ok. Vegetables undercookedalmost raw which can be a problem for older people with dental issues.
Hit and miss. Had a nice rack of lamb although seasoning was a little bit strange and left a weird taste. I had probably the worst curry I’ve ever had tonight. The protein was ok but the sauce was terrible.
Friendly staff. Fast service. Roast of the day was beef. Plenty of beef on the plate. Would have like vegetables cooked instead of steamed. Potatoes a bit over cooked. Cob loaf was really good. Would recommend. Soft shell crab was just okay.
Visited with brother for a quick lunch, had the roast beef and apple crumble special $20. One of the best pub meals I have had in a long time.
Just had Mother’s Day lunch.
Seven meals all fantastic, bistro was packed. Staff were friendly meals were quick. Couldn’t fault
We had our wedding in early May this year at The Inlet Hotel. John and the team were amazing and went above and beyond to help us with all the details for our day. John took as much of the pressure off as he possibly could. The food was delicious and all our guests raved about it. Was a perfect day, we couldn't have imagined anything any better.
Nice place with very friendly service and is obviously a popular local. Family friendly as well. Decent-sized servings, but the prices are very steep - shiraz ranges from around $9 a glass to as high as $12ish. Fun cocktail range and easy payment options on ordering.
Excellent hotel, not a huge bar area but we managed to spend Saturday afternoon very comfortably indeed or on cold, wet day. We didnt have a meal but the menu looks and it was getting very, very busy by the time we left at about 6.30pm. Much, MUCH better than the other pub (creche) in town.
The Inverloch Parma Review
(warning long comparison)
- Parma itself -
Inlet: Crispy. Had a lot more toppings, lots more cheese. Had a really thick chicken schnitzel, around an inch thick. Took up most of the smaller plate. Lost a bit of the flavour in the cooking.
Invy Espy: Bit moister than the inlet, had lesser toppings. Stringey Cheese. Solid size taking up 1/3 of the plate. Juicy all in all.
- Drinks -
Inlet: pint of coke, as expected. Ordered the white wine and they filled over the recommended serve which always nice.
Invy Espy: pint of lemonade, bit weak and we agreed. Ordered the white wine, was done, normal serve.
- Chips n Salad -
Inlet: overcooked chips. Decent serve in a mini basket. Salad was pretty small, but had feta and lots of balsamic dressing.
Invy Espy: really crispy chips. Took up 1/3 of the plate. Salad was bigger but a bit average, no dressing.
- Decore/atmosphere -
Inlet: bit darker, smaller room. Huuuge bar. Allocated seatings. Order at the till. Staff were friendly
Invy Espy: more family atmosphere, bit more lighting and windows, bit more colour. Find your own table. Order at the till. Staff were friendly
- $$$ -
Inlet: $27 for the Parma, $6 for the pint of soft drink, $8 for the white wine
Invy Espy: $25 for the Parma, $6 for the pint of soft drink, $10 for the white wine
Friendly Staff & Perfect for a romantic evening meal. Wonderful place all year round. Highly recommended. Meet the owner he's a Pleasant, Well presented gentleman.
Was a nice meal but walked away thoroughly disappointed with how we were treated when we were told we had to be out in 2 hours (which was fine) although our meal took over an hour to arrive! As soon as we had finished the staff collected our plates and told us the table was booked and we had to leave. We were not allowed to order to desert even if we wanted too.
We expressed to staff that our meal was very late and all the waitress responded back with was I can't control the kitchen.
Maybe next time don't over book the restaurant so you don't need to pull seats out from under your paying customers.
