I suggest Holland foundation to those who needs local experience/ experience in Retail/ Customer service/ Admin/ Office support. Its really an excellent platform to learn about all the aspects of running a business. Grant and Helen are excellent mentors and help us in our professional as well as personal development.

I joined as a volunteer simply so I can do something worth while during my holidays, ended up learning not just directly relevant skills for my role but also communication and teamwork skills that can be applied to all jobs. Holland foundation has helped me greatly, as my professional life is only at its beginning. On a side note, the other volunteers were extremely helpful and kind towards each other, Grant and Helen are both great mentors that leads by example.

The Holland Foundation's training program offers an opportunity to build character and develop practical skills related to retail and office administration. You learn how to conduct yourself in interviews, provide customer service, managing a store, working in a team, bookkeeping and more. The training is not easy, and some days it can be overwhelming. However, you leave with valuable lessons and experience that you can use for the next step of your life or career.

I would recommend HF if you are struggling to find a job, or would like some experience outside of your comfort zone. As long as you are willing to put in effort, Grant and Helen will always try to help you. You also meet amazing volunteers from all walks of life that you can build friendships and connections with.
