Unfortunately not an enjoyable sunday night meal. Salty souvlaki with soggy onion and chicken nugget size Fishbites. Bigger and better fish out there.

They do good fish and chips here, plus the burgers are also very tasty, Beaut place for a bite to eat.

Not going to return ever again
Being going here for three years.fish and chips good but service is appalling. On numerous occasions they lose our order and tell us we haven't ordered even though we have a number. Husband refuses to go in there any more. I appreciate that things sometimes go wrong but being barked at and made to feel like you are a liar is outrageous. Waited 50 minutes tonight for our order. Also really feel uncomfortable with the way the owners always speak to their young staff members. Time to find a new fish and chip place.

This is my go to fish and chip shop, reasonably priced and everything l have had from here is delious the flake and dim Sims are my favorite, check it out.

Great customer service, one of the best burgers with the lot that I have had in a long time. And their freshly battered flake melt in the mouth.

The woman behind the counter needs to be sent to a customer service course
Don't yell do you have a order!
Then we say no.
And she ignores us for 10 minutes
So we walked out.
Will never go back to your shop.
Worst service I've ever had
Pretty sure the woman is off her medication.
My advice is if you feel like fish and chips then go to the one on burwood Hwy.
And stay well away from this place.

The worst fish and chip shop ever!
This shop must have been using the same oil in the fry vats for 10 years because you can really taste the scunge of all those years on every chip. Our order was not fit to feed an animal, completely soaked with disgusting oil. When we returned for a refund with uneaten food 2 minutes later the owner became very aggressive and screamed abuse at us and our children after we told her the food was inedible.
Do not listen to whatever excuse they post as a reply to this review, screaming abuse at your customers is never ok, and she is lucky we didn't phone the police. We had to get our frightened kids away from her.

Terrible. If you're looking for a good fish and chip takeaway - THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU. Battered fish tasted rubbery and dry, grilled fish was squashed and flat and the crumbs weren't cooked. The chips were soaked submarines of fried oil - not enjoyable. We can't continue eating what we bought and it's been a complete waste of money- $38 worth. We will never be going back. Please adhere the advice and pick up your game Gully fish shop.

I'm pretty easy to please but this is one of the worst fish and chips experiences I've ever had! The flake was dried out, and the potato cakes and chips were completely overcooked. However the portion size was excellent. I'm no expert but I recommend a change in oil to correct the problem.

I love this place! I ordered a Vege burger without a Vege pattie, 5 onion rings, $4 chips and 4 potato cakes! All of it was amazing; the Vege burger is one of the best burgers that I've ever had! Chips, onion rings and potato cake were cooked perfectly with delicious crunchienss on the outside and nice and soft on the inside! Absolutely loved it! Both ladies were so nice and friendly not to mention a difficult customer came in and they handle it perfectly by being polite and trying to explain their prices. You didn't deserve what was thrown at you today! Take care and all the best! I will 100% be coming back!

We never buy fish and chips any where else, the staff know us and always greet us by name. They are lovely to our children and the fish and chips are amazing! Love the lunch packs-great value.

Worst food i have ever seen chips and potato cake where black. When i rang to tell her not happy she was telling me i need to ask for lighting fried when placing order. Oh and my scollop was grey dont go here.

Tried the chips and potatoe cakes and they were amazing. This is an extremely clean shop and has a local feel.

I ordered a piece of Whiting and I know what i received was NOT Whiting. I will never go back to this shop again. This is your warning everyone.
The days of good fish n chips is gone. Bring back the Greeks and Italians.

Awesome fish n chips, light crispy batter, chips were perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside, soft & fluffy on the inside. We don't eat this kind of food often, so it can be very disappointing when the food is below par, a big waste of calories! No worrys with the Gully Fish Shop, we go straight there for our fish n chip treat now!

The previous reviews are spot-on, I got to experience very old oil that has not been changed for a long time, meal wrapped in a single piece of paper so that the oil will soak through quickly into the car seat, and last but not least the screaming lady who was not only yelling over the phone, but also rude to customers.

Not a great place to get your fish and chips from, which worries me since it's a fish and chip shop.the chip minimum is pretty poor and they tasted very stale. The dim sims were overcooked and i didn't enjoy them at all. The service is not very friendly and i have a hard time ordering over the phone.

The whole meal was gross don't think that oil has ever been changed and I had quite a large order that was wrapped in 1 sheet of paper which started to come undone. Won't be going back there it was a waste of my money.

Old oil that makes the chips not so tasty. Change the oil and it'd be much nicer. Burger was good and as expected. Misunderstanding when order so no fish.
