The Great Aussie Beer Shed & Heritage Farm Museum reviews
55Took the grandkids 7&10 I thought it might be a boring for them but Neil got them up “helping” in his very informative and amusing talk. A great visit well worth a visit if you are around Echuca.
Today we were greeted by Neil in the car park, he came out to say hello and introduce himself which was such a lovely, personal touch. We were then given a tour by Ray, who was just as wonderful and full of information. We had our dogs with us, and they so kindly accommodated them and welcomed them to join in, which was such a delight for us being devoted pet parents. The museum itself is amazing. There is so much Australian history here as well as an incredible family history, which I feel privileged to have learnt about. It's inspiring to think of how many incredible, everyday people there are that have made such a difference in this world silently, and we need more places like this to shed light on these everyday heroes. Thank you!
What an amazing collection, owner is very passionate and welcoming.
Very happy we visited and will be back again next time.
Thank you
So we had to bribe our kids to visit The Great Aussie Beer Shed. As we were doing 110km back to Melbourne I asked the kids what was their favorite attraction during our stay & funnily enough it was Neil’s Beer Shed.
Neil’s very knowledgeable, welcoming & aware of the fact that it may not appeal to kids however he gets them involved & makes it fun for all ages.
I love a beer & I bloody love Holdens, however The Great Aussie Beer Shed wins possibly the toughest battle in Australia as my favourite destination in Echuca.
Imagine a Beer Shed up against a Holden Museum
We had a great time here on Monday afternoon and recommend this for all ages. We caught the last tour of the day and the young 8 year old on our family hasn't stopped talking about it since.
What a fantastic place! I cannot recommend this place enough. Neil's enthusiasm is infectious what an absolute legend and amazing place to explore. This place is a must see and to boot Neil donates the profits to the local children's hospital! True blue Aussie wish I had found it sooner and had more time there. Will definitely be back.
Thanks again Neil
This is a MUST SEE if you find yourself in Echuca! Definitely a one-of-a-kind experience with Neil, who is admittedly "mad" (his words). I believe he's only open on the weekends but I was part of a tour of local farms and irrigation districts and plans were made in advance for a one-off tour during the week. Best to check your schedule and his prior to arriving.
His tour was stunningly entertaining with Australian history and facts. Oh, and also beer - plenty of beer. Very engaging for all participants throughout the tour! So much history and memorabilia under one roof! So glad I went. Keep it up, Neil!
This place is amazing so much to see and Neil had made he's dad proud if what he done it that shed.would 100% go back here
A great collection of memorabilia with a focus on beer products. Takes you back! The gentleman who welcome you and start the tour are very knowledgeable and entertaining.
2nd time I've been here. Would go again. Lovely guy Neil who runs the place and it's both interesting and humourous. Will be back. If your in area definitely make the effort for a visit
Neil was a great host and curator of an amazing museum! And there was cold beer. Very much enjoyed the stop and that he opened special for our stop!
A great place to visit. Lots to see for everyone of all ages. It's not just about beer, there's cars, tractors, old machinery, footy stuff, petrol bowsers and signs etc. Neil gave us a great introduction to the shed and some very significant historical pieces.
Great place to visit when in Echuca. A very extensive collection of all sorts of beer related artifacts.
Amazing place filled with so much history. Totally recommend going. Defiantly worth the experience and is pet friendly. Neil was very accomodating Totally worth 5 starts
Neil was a great tour guide, so enticing, great funny bloke, entertaining and very informative. Good Value for money with so much to see, didnt want to leave
An amazing collection, ranging from antique cars and farm machinery to beer and war memorabilia. The tour was really interesting and Neil (owner) put on a really engaging and personal talk. I would definitely recommend coming out here for a nice cold beer and to see some really interesting artefacts!
FANTASTIC! Great introductory talk. So much to see, many memories. 2hrs wasn't enough but had to go. Highly recommended. Thanks.
This was an amazing experience. My husband and I loved it. When we left I felt like I was dragging my feet because I didn’t want to leave. We’ll be back that’s for sure. The energy that Neil has is contagious, we left in the best mood. A family of hero’s with amazing history to share and an incredible fascinating museum to see
Absolutely fantastic host, Neil. Passionate and enthusiastic. Mind blowing collection. Do yourself a favour and drop in and have a look. Well worth the time.
This place is amazing. So many things to look at. Neil and his family have collected generations of items to share with everyone. From aged tractors, cars, farm machinery, signs, fuel bowsers, pokie machines jars, stilns, carts, cobb n co coach, trivia items, beer and more beer produce. Worth a visit if your in town. Serve cold drinks and souvenirs too. Friendly service and great tour guide. Will be recommending to my guests! Enjoy
